I always thought that the Hawks 2010s core must really be chuckling to themselves about Foligno being captain. Just a guy that they would toy with back in the day, who is now an "elder skatesman" who will teach the kids how to win. Bro's never won... ANYTHING.

For context, he has played in 64 playoff games in 18 seasons. Teravainen has played 90 in 11 full seasons.
Meanwhile our Assistant Captain Murphy has played in 0! Jones was atrocious too!
The "Leadership" group for this team has been a joke. Luckily, I don't think it'll matter longterm.

They are all such losers. It has to be hard for Bedard and Co to keep a straight face. Foligno is a loser, Seth Jones was a loser, Murphy is a loser. Bertuzzi is even a loser. Taylor Hall was a loser. Craig Smith was a loser. Athanasiou Loser. Dickinson had one run but otherwise loser.

Martinez and Big Rig were the only ones and multiple stories written this year about how the D kids took to Martinez and the forwards took to Maroon.

My toxic trait is that I I swear I truly believe if they played a U24 roster next year with TT and Bertuzzi and one (1!) impact forward acquisition this team would be in or around the playoffs.

my exact thoughts about the old core toying with teams that had leadership groups like the current team...again its like coming into a job and some old timer who is far worse at his job than you but has all the answers, its human nature to think what has this guy has accomplished to give me advice, none of these guys won jackshit f*** all nothing, the guy to mentor Bedard was Kane, kid even cut his hair like him, but they said no and brought in a bunch of guys with zero allegiance to the team other than being paid double their market rates to show up and say all the right things, get them all out of here
