What exactly do you think a rookie Nazar and Bedard are going to do against the best players in the world every single night? Besides chase the puck and get dominated? Idiotic? Yeah, it f***ing would be.
he's on pace for like 15 goals, what exactly is the logic to keep him in same situation, move him to RW, let Nazar be the 200ft 70 pt center with the defensive responsibilities....We want Bedard to be Kane and maximize his offensive output...thats the outcome that is best for the team, its that simple

Yeah you’re right. They should continue to do nothing and let Bedard sink further.

No no, you're right. Clearly Nazar is ready for the hardest matchups in the world. He has 16 points in 13 AHL games.

Bedard hasn't even been playing consistently with the best players on this roster. Let's start with that first before we give Nazar the Reichel treatment.

Sorry I had to come back and edit this because I missed this really stupid part by not reading it. What the f*** is the bolded? You're going to bring Nazar up and tell him to be a 200 ft player when he's not even a refined 200 ft player in the AHL right now?

To be fair, the only way you get ready is by playing against them.

Well that's part of the problem

The coach shouldn't be matching them against Barkov and the like

There are multiple things the front office needs to address

Calling up Nazar is one, firing Luke Richardson and replacing him with Monty is another

FIVE GAMES now in a row with only a single power play each game??? Compared to 14 by the opposition??? And losing to the Flyers today in OT while short handed…you honestly can’t tell me Chicago had only been obstructed FIVE TIMES over the last five games??? Impossible, how can this be??? If I was Davidson(management) I’d be alerting he league…

This. They need to show progress, I love the OHL and minor leagues but I'm sick of hearing about all the great prospects. I want some f*ing wins or at least for the team to be interesting. They suck AND they're boring.

The more we lose the better. We need Hagens/Martone. We can't risk going for an extra W here or there just so its costs us a top 2 pick. Rn there's zero point for us to try and be good/win games this season. People need to be patient and stop worrying about how bad the team is, how bad the coach is, etc. All will change in the coming years. As for now you should WANT us to be losing so we can secure the highest possible chance at drafting one of those elite young forwards who we DESPERATELY need.

They draw so few penalties because there are literally 0 net drives, no possession of the puck inside the dots because no one ever beats their man. With this team, do the gretzky and every time they establish the zone draw where the puck goes. It is stapled to the boards. Ring it around, nothing there, ring it back, dump, pass to the D, D can't get off the boards, rings it back around. Until possession is lost.

It's an epidemic. And I think it's because they value possession way too much. Yea Nazar might get poked or pushed off on a net drive most of the time, but he tries. Bedard used to try. Now he's too deep in his own head. But he will again someday. Craig Smith actually tries as well.

High draft picks are no guarantee of anything and you can improve in other ways too. You can make good moves and sign the right people as well. You can find a coach that isn't a moron and can get the best out of what he's got. This is an Original 6 team with a monster fan base that's getting frustrated.

They've won one playoff series in ten years - and have missed the playoffs in 6 of 7 years. Enough's enough. I still have a ton of family up there that spends a lot of money to go to the games and the fans are frustrated. People are sick of paying top dollar to watch crap.

Hagens is closer to Shane Wright unfortunately. There’s no one as good as even Celebrini this draft. But you gotta draft a center as Bedard is still a question mark in that position, so it’s either Hagens or Misa. After that it’s McQueen if the Hawks start winning meaningless games, but his injuries are scary.

I really gotta start my scouting so I can chime in on these discussions...

I’m surprised you haven’t already. But you won’t like what you see. There’s no guaranteed superstars at the top and weak depth down the order.
I usually don't start until around this time of year anyway.

I like to have a big backlog of games to dig through, instead of having to wait game by game at the start of the season.

So you think we're looking at a subpar draft class? Any stand-outs for you so far?
