I'll admit I'm not familiar with Corsi ratings, how they work, and what they show. All I saw was a chart that didn't indicate anything about actual performance

he cut the part of the graph with the key that would show you what the size and color of the circles are meant to indicate out of his screenshot. regardless, he's pointing at a player with mostly fourth line deployment and acting shocked and vindicated that he's seeing fourth line on ice results.

reichel has been a bad possession player on a bad possession team, but he's also on a points streak. i wouldn't be shocked if it's a flash in the pan, but i'm also not going to wet myself in excitement if it is, because i am not emotionally invested in seeing players drafted higher than i put them on my list fail.

With Reichel its not even about his numbers, though thats nice. It is night and day how assertive and engaged he has been since coming back in the lineup. That is what has me hopeful he has turned things around, not the points.

Everyone here is familiar with Reichel’s limitations but when you see a play like the assist against Los Angeles, it does make you think there’s still potentially something there. May never be a possession oriented analytic god but everything suggests he could still be a guy who puts up points in the nhl.

Time will tell, that's why he's on a pure bridge deal. He's got this year and next to prove he's a true NHL player. So far he's passing the test.

I missed the Ducks game Bedard and TT have both been bad for close to two weeks now. Hence TT being demoted.

Not to mention that combo is never going to work. Too small and soft.

is there any reason why you decided to include two games reichel wasn't playing with tt and bedard when trying to show that he played poorly with tt and bedard?

edit: this whole diversion is ill-concieved in the first place because reichel never played with bedard and tt last night, he played a minute with bedard and donato before going back to the smith maroon line. he got his assist on the powerplay with the same two forwards plus bertuzzi. that's what i get for taking musto at his word.
