LOL is right.

I think sitting did him some good though. Luke being a head coach, in essence challenging Donato to keep it up, and he has.
That's part of the benefit of a deeper team this year. You can sit guys and light a fire under their ass. Last year, LR had no choice but to play guys like Donato, Johnson, Reichel, Katchouk, Entwistle, Raddysh, etc even if they were playing like garbage

Its hard to put into words the utter elation and pure ecstasy I feel rn knowing Bedard just bagged 3 pts. Now if we can get some goals sometime soon here who knows....we might just be back on that generational track! Never doubted him for a second. What a player. Also worth noting Vlasic and Reichel keep producing too as an added bonus. More good news. If only we could have lost the game it would have been a perfect night. Gotta keep pace with San Jose for that top pick. I want the #1OA BADLY. Almost a bad as i want more pts for Bedard.

If I told you Hawks were on a 70 point pace with bigtime signs of life from Reichel, Vlasic playing like a 1D, Bedard snake bitten but still right at PPG, Nazar killing it in the AHL, Rinzel looking like he’s a big leaper. You couldn’t be anything but happy.

I'm completely out of the loop on the AHL/minor league/college stuff....are Nazar and Rinzel really playing that well? Rinzel looking like a potential top 4D in the future?

Zegras, man, woof. Guy is unrecognizable from the kid who was playing full of joy when he entered the league

Yeah very odd, he put up back to back 60 pt seasons with far less talent around him while being younger and less developed as he is now. And Now that the rest of their young core has emerged he seems to be invisible. So strange.

System and coaching

Zegras was playing well under Eakins and his system

He doesn't fit Cronin system and it appears Cronin/Ducks are trying to force fit instead of playing Zegras to his strengths, etc

Also Zegras had his success playing C while he has been shifted back and forth at C to wing under Cronin

Ultimately will likely result in change of scenery

The Ducks have had no excuse to be this bad for a year plus. Something is seriously going wrong in their rebuild and I don’t see it discussed much. I have posts from last year this time asking wtf is up with them. On paper they have what they need and they’ve had it for awhile. It’s kind of scary to watch as a fellow rebuilders

I'm sorry but after the comments I hear about Hawks from you it makes me question everything you post.

I'd be infinitely happier if Frank was in Chicago

Playing well in Rockford does not necessarily translate to the NHL. We got a pretty good look at Nazar in preseason and he was clearly not ready. I doubt that has changed much in two months. Give him more time than that to prepare.
