have you ever gone to see the Kings away from home?

Been to Detroit 3 times over the years, all 3 turned out to be losses. People in Detroit are nice although the area around the Joe not so nice. Tickets are easy to get and fairly inexpensive.

Times must have changed since the financial world went down as when I grew up north of Detroit, it was always hard to get Wings tickets even during their 80's dead wings years.

I remember this so vividly. I went to the Pond the first day they opened it to the public to tour/check it out. It was such an upgrade over the Forum, it was really an eye opener to me. At that point it clearly showed how old, run down and out of date the Forum had become.

At the time I thought it was a fantastic arena. Once the Stapler was opened though it made the Pond look small and cheap.

I was at the first pre-season game there, Kings-Ducks, and I ran into Jimmy Fox in the concourse. I said "What do you think of this place?" "Real nice." me-"We need one like it now..." JF-"Pretty soon, I hope"

That first year the Pond was open I went to every Anaheim Bullfrogs game as well :) #Champs

By far best experience ever was Game 3 SCF last year. Flew out to LA to be there, sat amongst season ticket holders who when they heard I came all the way from Toronto were the most accommodating people and made the experience one of a kind. Cant say there will ever be a greater game to see in person then that.

Knew there was no way I the only one who did this. I flew out for games 3 and 4, it was crazy how awesome people were once they found out i was there from Minnesota. I think I bought maybe 2 beers out of 8-9 at the Yard House pre game and post game for game 3 and the couple I sat next to for game 4 got my address and sent me a huge box of Kings giveaway stuff from games over the years a couple weeks after the trip. Just great people!

Seen the kings a bunch of times, mostly on the road because I am from Hamilton,ON.
Toronto: every year they come.
Buffalo: every year they come.
Ottawa: Twice, got freebies from mcgratton and got to Meet a bunch of the players after.
Detroit: met Scott parses whole family at a bar before the game and partied with his twin sister and her friends after the game.
Vancouver: flew down for game 5 a few years ago, Kings were spanked 7-3 and got beer whipped at us as we were leaving. Canucks fans are Pejorative Slurs.
New jersey: Drove down for game 5, hoping the kings would clinch it.

Thats awesome. Kings fans are the best in the league.

Loved being in Vancouver to watch the Kings beat the Canucks a few years ago. Canucks fans are the most hated in the the league Id say, worse then Toronto fans. I love seeing Van lose...

:yo: Awesome!

I know I get cool remarks whenever I tell my story of becoming a Kings fans in the mid 80's thanks to Bernie Nichols and staying up late even school nights to listen to any team relatively near by(Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, etc) that I could pick up on my hand held radio playing a home game or out in LA just so I could take in a Kings game as they weren't exactly going to be on tv quite often where I lived in Michigan.

I'm hoping to see them in Toronto next season but getting tickets here is really hard. I have a client who shares season's tickets with someone else so when she gets Flyer tickets she gives them to me. We went last Monday and it was brutal cause the Leafs kicked butt. I've since found out that another client has access to tickets so I will ask him next year if I can buy the Kings' tickets.

One of these days I will do a Montreal/Toronto/Ottawa trip.

San jose and anaheim. Anaheim fans well, u know, are *****es. San jose fans are ok, maybe because sj won. Lol.

Yes, I went to game 5 in NJ, the only road game they lost in the playoffs :(

Hope next year they have a game in Philly cause I will definitely go then.

I swear that part of any realignment, I just want the return of the schedule where you play everyone in the opposite conference twice- home and away. That was another dumb Bettman change that I really hated. :shakehead

If anyone else will be out in Phoenix for this Tuesday's match, we don't change our clocks so we are now back on the same time as you are out in California.
