Has Mike Sullivan Been Fired yet

Doubt it. Sid has never publicly done anything except support Sully. If Sid needed convincing in the background that would mean he was voicing displeasure. If that ever happened there would of been changes PDQ. I am very confident that Dubas has been very open and honest about the plan and direction with Sid. Sid is fully on board with what is going on.
I would bet that every move made over the last 10 years or so Sid had a hand in or was consulted. Sid says player x missed a pass to me I want him gone. Player is gone. Some of the moves made since the two cups in a row just seem like they were not thoroughly analyzed. Made from emotion or selfishness that a good coach and proper management would not have made.

Yes and no. I bet Sid was asked his opinion on things, the JJ signing was a prime example. He also intervened with the Geno fiasco. However I highly doubt hes told management to trade/fire anyone. Thats not Sids personality.

I would wager that Sid is in on every round table or board room meeting regarding player personnel. I look back at the cup runs and extensions given ( to the defense ) and one thing sticks out. They resigned every d man to extensions that might provide more offense. Maata, Dumo, Schultz, but no Cole extension. Thought then that may have been the worst move after the back to back cups. Remember how bad the defense became after Cole left? From around 201 goals against to 241. Should have locked him in back then because he has had 7 solid seasons since. Justin Schultz got his deal because Cole made him better. Same thing with Soucy and Zadorov who are way overpaid. Where is Justin playing today? 5.5 million lol.

Cole was dealt because Sully and him had a massive falling out over play style.

Cole was dealt to make cap space for Brassard. He had stopped getting scratched/benched for a while at that point and was playing fine and allegedly the issues by the TDL were patched over.

Bro, just look around the league. Most GMs are absolute idiots. Sid isn't demanding players be sent to the shadow realm for trivial reasons. GMs, and head coaches, are just dumb as hell.

It is fascinating to wonder what Sid thinks about a new coaching plan. IF Dubas decided that we needed a change (I am sure he and Spezza and Kessel and others have already talked about it at length), he would absolutely ask for input from Sid. But possibly not just Sid, maybe the three legends, possibly the entire core (add Karlsson, Rakell and Rust, IMO) but probably not.

But would Crosby tell Dubas, "we absolutely positively without question need to keep Mike on board." He intervened with the whole Malkin situation but that whole situation was stupid and should have never come to that point. He was the voice of reason and I am glad he did that.

Is THIS the same thing, though? Sid loves winning, and maybe he hates losing more. Maybe. He sees Ovi doing big things largely because the Capitals were bold enough to bring in a rookie head coach with zero NHL experience and they are now one of the best (regular-season) teams in the NHL. We shall see what happens in the playoffs, but all of the attention Ovechkin is getting must be even slightly eating away at Crosby these days.

So, would Sid completely poo-poo the idea of a brand new direction behind the bench? I remain unconvinced based on the obvious. Based on what we see in front of our own eyes. This team will never win again with this head coach. This head coach may never win again, period. Byslma will never win again. Bob Hartley never won again. Jean Perron never won again. Right place, right time for a ton of head coaches throughout history.

So I firmly believe (but I could be wrong, of course) that it would not be Sid who would put the stick in the spokes of a potential coaching change. I still firmly believe that Dubas CANNOT fire Sullivan, that he does not have the power to do so as per his (or Sullivan's) contract. And FSG would never sign off on it. Now, when FSG gets all the money that comes with winning the Premier League this season, could that change?

I still have my doubts.

It would be bizarre as hell to fire him now so I find it unlikely it's that.

Maybe the Rangers offered Dubas another first and a sack of cash for him  . No joke the Rangers have been absolutely fiending for Mike Sullivan to coach there for years now.

I know the Devils were gunning for Sully for a while, dunno about the Rangers.

Would be hilarious if they took Sully off our hands, Shesterkin got hurt, and the Rangers' pick next year ended up giving us two top 5 picks and two shots at McKenna.
