Does anyone know what Chris Kunitz is up to? I always thought he’d make a good Coach. Along with Matt Cullen.
 
It’s beyond frustrating that this coach doesn’t put his players in a position to be successful…
Glass on L2 on wing when he’s not really a scorer and is better at center
Geno: wants him to be a defensive player when he is not, G really sees himself as an offensive player and coach is trying t drum that out of him even though we have so few scorers
Lizotte, one of our best overall players, continues to be put in a position to do nothing with nothingburgers on L4

They are 8-3-1 in their last 12. They lost to a very good team last night. I don't disagree with your premise, but...

New coach bounce coming for the Wings…they aren’t out of it…meanwhile Sullivan will be signing a new three year extension soon lol
 


If there was a universe where Sullivan got fired, FSG would probably be able to get the other team to take on most if not all of his remaining contract. I dont think FSG being cheap is the problem, theyre just dumb.

Well, we don't even know the terms of individual coaching contracts. It could be guaranteed money, guaranteed money UNTIL hired elsewhere, or no guaranteed money, it could be a lump sum who knows...

I am positive it's not the money that is the hold-up with FSG ending sullivan's employment ... It's.. The fact... They like him being coach

I think the team has been playing well for the last little bit, but I don’t think that’s because of lineup decisions per se. Probably the biggest change is the dmen probably halving the number of dumb lateral blueline passes that get picked off and go the other way. Earlier in the season they were doing it 4 or 5 times a period.
Also, EK deciding to activate himself more often has added some dynamism to the team that has been sorely missing.

This team was never bottom 5 bad, but having Jarry deconstruct like he did, Ned being no better and refusing to play the best option in net until Jarry figured out how to get back to some semblance of adequate, really hindered them. Not taking advantage of a proper training camp to figure out how a new defense coach will deploy his defenseman and in what capacity is a grievous offence. It's painfully obvious there was little time spent where he learns how these players play best as a unit. It's taken 30 games for him to figure this out... If he is even trying to figure it out and the players have instead figured it out.

The line makeups has been atrocious. It's been "how do we get Sid his points" and that's it. Geno scoring and playing well and Sid isn't? Play Geno on Sid's wing. Sid scoring and Geno isn't? "What's the problem?"

Line 4 needs to be turfed, we have another Craig Adams, Tanner Glass situation and Sullivan is loving it.

Plan the parade, folks, any day now Geno will finally learn to play the right way (tm) and we will be unstoppable.

It's really a shame that guy has been holding this team back all these years.

I've been assured from many others clearly much wiser and more plugged in than myself that Mike Sullivan doesn't treat Malkin any particular way though so I wouldn't stress it.
