7pts in 5 games since the coaching change.A Goal and an Assist for the kid. Nice to see.

How much have you watched of Celebrini? Guessing very little. I watched them both over the past couple of days and Celebrini definitely looks better than Bedard. He doesn’t have Bedard’s offensive flair, but his contribution in all 3 zones is much more impressive. Bedard without the puck looks like he is just going through the motions - waiting for someone to get the puck and give it to him so he can do his thing. Celebrini is attacking the puck carrier to force turnovers, winning board battles, blocking passing lanes, and creating clean O-zone entries. Just a more dynamic player overall.
Apologies, no idea what happened there but my intention was to quote sensfan4lifee.? I consider Celebrini to be a superior talent. Bedard is just getting a ton of Ice time and that is the only reason why he's getting pts but besides that the guy looks like he can't skate half of the time so he might be injured idk. He's still very green.
Celebrini is better and idk why you would think i thought otherwise with what you quoted me on
You mean Roman Rotenberg.Might be the only young player in the league who actually deserves John Tortorella
This season could be amazing for the Blackhawks. His performances last year showed he's the real deal among an atrocious team.
Have a dip season, sign him to $9m or below for 8 years ASAP and that'll be one of the best contracts in the NHL within 3 years.
We'll sign him this off-season for 9.8m per for 8 years. Just like how Pittsburgh signed Sid for 8.7m.I stand by this. If he gets 60-70 points this season and next, he's going to be one of the best contracts in the NHL by the time he's 24.
A Goal and an Assist for the kid. Nice to see.
Nice! And his goal was the game winner with 54 seconds left.
Bedard is one of the most clutch young players I can remember following. Dude has always seemed to show up in big moments. And his goal was the game winner with 54 seconds left.
The only reason Bedard is getting points is because of ice time?? I consider Celebrini to be a superior talent. Is Mason Marchmant a top 20 offensive player in the NHL in your opinion? Are you saying that a peak Bedard should be close to a 60 min ratio vs plugs? Are you saying thats a normal thing?
I would say Celebrini plays a better overall game between the 2. Which IMO puts him ahead of Bedard.? I consider Celebrini to be a superior talent. Bedard is just getting a ton of Ice time and that is the only reason why he's getting pts but besides that the guy looks like he can't skate half of the time so he might be injured idk. Both kids were from BC but I definitely heard more hype with Bedard. Maybe it’s the bias of WHL vs NCAA route.Celibrini has been underrated
Bedard had noticeably more impressive seasons prior to their draft, especially if you look at the World Juniors. Both kids were from BC but I definitely heard more hype with Bedard. Maybe it’s the bias of WHL vs NCAA route.
He was never compared to Crosby or McDavid. I'd say he'll be closer to Jack Hughes than those two, which is no knock on him.
Leading up to his draft, he was widely considered the best prospect SINCE McDavid and the best prospect AFTER Crosby and McDavid. But he was. Look at the 1st few pages of this thread.
I agree that he SHOULDN'T have been compared to Crosby or McDavid, but there are quite a few who thought that he was going to be on the same tier as those two.
He absolutely was.He was never compared to Crosby or McDavid. I'd say he'll be closer to Jack Hughes than those two, which is no knock on him.
I don't think that many credible sources compared Bedard with Crosby and McDavid. There were lots of people who were willing to based off his WJC, but most of them were not credible. His level of hype on the whole, including before his draft year, was not on the same level. He's a good young player though and would score more/look better if on a reasonably competent team. Has clear areas that need improvement though.
You can't throw Gretzky, McDavid, Crosby, and Matthews together like that's one level of player or one level of hype. Gretzky is one level, Crosby and McDavid are a level below, and Matthews is the level below. Bedard did get more hype than Matthews, yes. You can argue that Matthews was underhyped as a prospect. But Bedard was not hyped like Crosby and McDavid were on the whole, though he was roughly at that level for a few months after the WJC. Gretzky was in a different environment, pre-internet and all, but he was not famous like Gretzky was as a prospect either.Lets pretend he was never compared to the Gratzky, McDavid, Crosby or Matthews.
He sure did get that level of coverage. I remember the first freaking 5 games the media were ONLY talking about Bedard.
They had Gretz sit down with Bedard at the same table with sportsnet analysts.
I remember sportsnet running clips of Bedard non stop every 2 minutes.
Sportsnet guys got so fedup and as a troll they showed Bedard just doing a routine skating to meme their bosses.
