Thats the thing about generational though. You get nominated as generational before your career starts. And unless you did , it doesn't matter how good you were. If you weren't declared generational before your career started , you won't be generational. It's not something you transcend to. If you could transcend to it , many of the players in that list would have.

Then what are we [quietly] discussing? We don't even need to watch him play if he's already got it in the bag. This will save me so much time.

Bedard turned 19 three months ago.

And it's not true that the lockout + 1 was significantly lower scoring than now. It was a new era , before goalies or anything adapted. Hence most likely why Crosby never reached his 2nd year point total again
