Drury has to be more mindful of bringing in players not only at the deadline but free agents with strong family priorities.
Justin Braun, Wennberg at the deadline’s.
Pretty sure Nash settled his family in Springfield. Just up the road from Hartford.
I’ll take a fact check but it’s a Crazy coincidence that he was injured before the Northern road Trip and the Central road trip last season. Now he’s not in camp?
Can anyone remember if he was on the Black Aces during the playoffs last season?

Nash is 35 years old now. If you add his NHL/AHL games both regular season and playoffs he's over 1000 games and he was banged up a lot last year. He played the first 7 games that the Pack played in the playoffs last year but got hurt again and wasn't available for the last 3. He tied for the lead in points in the playoffs though and he was playing well.

I’m addressing the question about his priorities in commitment to playing hockey as to raising a family.
I believe last season it was mentioned that his wife was from Springfield and he had moved his family there last season to put down permanent roots.
Coincidence that both injuries occurred just before the out of division road trips?
Okay, I can’t disprove that.
Justin Braun traded here before the deadline.
First thing Sam Rosen and the beat writers reported that he had young children and had put down roots in the greater Philadelphia suburbs.
To me , Braun never seemed to be engaged.
Believe it was reported that he was commuting to his home when time permitted.
Wennberg, Wife just gave birth. Also didn’t seem to me to be fully engaged.
Just hope Drury thinks about things other than a player’s ability when he makes these signings and trades.

Barbashev with the Gordie Howe hattrick tonight with a 5-4 regulation win vs Bridgeport Islanders. Still shocked Rangers decided to not give him an ELC but an AHL contract with the Wolfpack. I guess they rather give NHL contract to AHL vets that most likely won't wear a Rangers jersey or play in the NHL

Pack cut most of the try-outs
Still at their Camp, Erne, Lavi JR and the D named Griffin Luce

"...New York Rangers (NHL) have reassigned goaltender Hugo Ollas from the Wolf Pack to the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison.

The following players have been released from their tryout agreements and will report to the Bison: forwards Brett Budgell, Jonny Evans, Linus Hemström, Dalton Duhart and Chongmin Lee, and defensemen Chase Pauls and Jake Murray.

Forward Matt DeMelis has been released from his tryout agreement and will report to the ECHL’s Worcester Railers.

Forward Wyllum Deveaux has been released from his tryout agreement and will report to the ECHL’s Maine Mariners.

Defenseman Madison Bowey has been released from his tryout agreement."

Barbashev another goal and assist in a 5-1 Wolfpack win vs the Bridgeport Islanders. Barbashev was 1st star in back to back games vs the Islanders.

Rangers better sign him to an ELC before another team like Vegas does. He still has potential. Seems to be a better player for the pro game than junior game

They loaned your guy to Bloomington today so it does not appear an ELC is incoming.

Had a good preseason with the Wolfpack. Barbashev will be back hopefully.

not surprised because 1/2 Pack F Corps is very young, figured hjm, and maybe Roobroeck, might start in the E given rookies BMB and Chmelar make pack along side (most of ) 2nd year guys Othmann/Berard/Edstrom/Sykora/Korczak and 3rd year evolving guy Rempe
Pack want winning/success to be part of the development effort, and I like many the AAAA vets they've imported - Blidh, Belzile, Groulx, ... with J.Brodz the role model for opportunity for those guys too

Anyway, I'd rather young guys like Barbashev or Roobroeck or Korczak to play in E than not dress in A,
AND, opportunities will surely arise. recall the wild mix of guys who played F for Pack early 2nd half last season...

Bloomington has signed a bunch of guys recently, roster is now pretty full,
so far only 1 Pack-signed skater (Barbashev) and 1 NYR-signed Goalies - Ollas.

Boyko had been assigned there, but apparently then re-assigned to Tulsa ECHL

Pack or NYR maybe assign a few more skaters later this week
