Hartford loss, 5-1 to Springfield.
Rempe looked good. He skated well and got into a fight with Angelo of the t-birds. Rempe was beating the tar out of him when Angelo grab him and tackled him to the ice.
Hedriksson always seems to be in position. He played on the #1 PK tonight.
Hendriksson centered a line of Rempe and Whelan and paired up with Rydahl on the PK.
Domingue did not seemed zoned in. Should have stopped at least 2 maybe 3 of the goals he allowed and played a puck that was clearly going to be an icing by Springfield.

2-1 Bridgeport after 2. Pack have outplayed the Islanders for a decent majority of the game, but Bridgeport has had a few spirts that have been the difference.

A few quick thoughts.

1. Trivigno is consistently around the puck. And generally making effective plays. I want him to keep improving on his board work but in general you see a smaller player who can be effective with his footspeed, his IQ and decent hands. I legit think he can overcome his size at some point.

2. Rempe might have a choppy stride, but he was showing far more burst in his limited TOI than Gettinger tends to show. But he's pretty raw though.

3. Cuylle isn't quite as effective as I want him to be. He's not ineffective. He is generally more effective than not. But I want to see more from him.

4. Despite being down, again I like Garand's game for the most part. We just aren't playing in the O zone with any confidence.

5. Henriksson has been pretty effective. Someone else said it the other day, but he tends to be int he right place most of the time. He seems like a Goodrow type minus the size/fighting. At least so far.

Robertson is back. I don't mind Robertson and Emberson in this one.

Update. Pack lose again 5-3. Really they scored 2 of the 3 late in the 3rd. Just not a ton of chemistry and it's leading to not great offense. I think there are enough players who have offensive potential, but right now there's no one that other teams are afraid of. That's likely an issue. We don't really have that one prospect like Chytil that everyone gameplans against and then the rest of the team can fall in behind that player and play a role more suitable to them. But sorta like the big club, there's just not a ton of offensive confidence out there. Need to do a better job getting chances in dangerous areas. Similar to big club, but with far less talent. Even when they outplay their opponent for stretches, the other team doesn't seem terribly fazed.

Knoblaugh interview highlights on Rydahl:
Strong, Powerful, Fast skater
Right now he is the 3rd line Centre behind Brodzinski(1) Fritz(2).
Sees Rydahl moving up in the lineup as he starts feeling more comfortable.
Smart player.

My observation: He along with Henriksson are the two forwards on the Wolf Pack #1 PK
My hope is that by January he's ready to step into Carpenter's role. I really like the guy.

Skinner, Welinski scratched, injuries? How quickly the RHD depth can get challenged

Also Khodo, Korczak, Reuschh scratched.
We know PK left a game recently, and hadnt played since, i believe

I try not to be an entitled fan, but sure wish there was some source tracking roster status

Tidbits do come occasionally from sources like Howlings/Cantlon, Markiewicz or Milliner.

Paju would have to play in the trigger position on PP2 to get any joy here and I don’t think he’d be good enough at even strength at the NHL level to justify that kind of specialist position in the lineup.

He’s the kind of guy who will only play in the NHL as a scoring forward. That means the bar to his entry to a higher level league is taller than it would be if he was, say, a 4th line type player like Rydahl.

Right now Kravtsov is in that experimental RW spot in our lineup and until he isn’t, there’s zero place for Pajuniemi in our lineup

You're absolutely correct about the information that Hartford puts out on the team. It's been terrible and has been terrible since I've paid attention. I was hoping bringing in Alex Thomas might change things but it hasn't.

Skinner played Saturday, scratched Friday so I'm assuming yesterday was a healthy scratch. He's only played 5 of the 9 games. He had a lot of healthy scratches last year.

Khodorenko has been out the last five games since he was hurt so I think this is an injury. I think he was holding his shoulder.

Reuschhoff has only played 3 of 9 games It's hard to believe he's been a healthy scratch for 6 games and not any in a while.

Trivigno has been scratched for 4 of 9 games. Don't know why and if healthy don't understand why.

Tanner Fritz off to terrible start, only 1 post in 9 games. He's on an AHL contract but he was relatively effective last year. C. J. Smith and Gettinger only four points a piece even though both playing top two lines and first power play.

Cuylle stuck on 4 points for several games. I still thinks he makes it with the Rangers but probably only in a bottom role.

No points for Henriksson, Rempe, Skinner, Korczak, Khodorenko, Reuschhoff.

The season is still young but I was hoping for more from the kids.

Lindbum has only played in 2 of 8 games for Jacksonville. Why even bring him over this season if he's not going to play at all? I mean he's behind a guy on an AHL deal, Gahagen, and an ECHL deal, Williams.

Despite being outshoot 11-5 the Pack take a 1-0 lead into the second period, courtesy of a WB nightmare power play in which Fritz takes the puck away from Alex Nylander back on defense at the WB line and breaks in 2-0 with Gettinger, who nets the goal on a pass from Fritz. Gettinger also almost had a second short handed goal on the same power play and Rydahl was able to skate around and kill 20+ seconds by himself.

Play slightly tilted against the Pack but no great chances for WB. Robertson was much more aggressive offensively than I have seen which is very encouraging. An interview with KK included that he thought Scanlin had an excellent game, supporting what Rudolfo posted earlier in the week. Scanlin looks more comfortable to me than when he came last year and I thought he was pretty good when he joined the Pack. Pack didn't generate much offense. Henriksson did get off a good shot on a semi breakaway.

Pack and WB tied after 2. WB scores on PP. Rempe gets 17 minutes for fighting and instigating after WB player hits Domingue who is way out of the net. Shots are 18-12 WB. Pack showing very little offense.

Pack win 3-1. Pajuniemi with the GWG early in the third, really nice passing on the rush between he, Rydahl, and Trivigno.

Gettinger added the ENG for his second of the night.

I think that was the first road win this season.

Pack win 3-1. Early in the 3rd period Trivigno and Pajuniemi break in 2-1. WB gets back to take away the pass to Pajuniemi but Rydahl follows up and Trivigno finds him who finds an open Pajuniemi for the goal. With a couple of minutes left WB pulls the goalie and proceeds to take 2 minor penalties. The Pack play keep away until the puck is shot down the ice and Gettinger gets an empty netter. Pajuniemi the second star and Gettinger the first star. I know it will look impressive that Gettinger got two goals but one was on a 2-0 and the other was an empty netter that he tapped in.

Domingue was solid in net but not needed for any spectacular saves. Robertson and Scanlin were more active offensively coming up the ice -- Scanlin almost had a tip in when he broke to the net on a rush. The PP is not very good and offensively the team is challenged. Only one 5-5 goal and not that many high danger chances at equal strength. I think Rydahl is an NHL caliber but for his defense, not as much for his offense. Henriksson shows his quickness but he hasn't been able to get on the score sheet. Pajuniemi has a great shot. Cuylle is physical and has some offensive ability but not a top six player. Rempe can fight. Trivigno is very quick and has offensive ability.

If the Rangers want to get down to 2 players for cap reasons the team should send Carpenter down. If he gets claimed and the Rangers need a fourth line center Rydahl can handle that role better than Carpenter.
