Unless a forward gets healthy Elson should be getting back in the lineup (?)DiGi recalled,
Nash reinjured Friday,
Pekar hurt Sat
I’m not into rushing them but it’s annoying that Berard and Sykora aren’t quite ready yet. Not complaining about their development (they’re both having nice years) but more so because dog on a bone type forwards like them would be of great use to the parent team.
I guess I should be happy that we have some good, cheap middle 6 help on the way though.
Very rarely are guys in their first year out of college/Europe an NHL regular. Berard is on a similar trajectory as Cuylle. If Berard keeps up this pace he'll have similar points as Cuylle did his first year in Hartford. The only thing he might have against him is some coaches might thing he needs more time because of his size. I would not be surprised if he gets sent back next year and then called up, but at the same time I'm rooting for him to make the team next year but has tough competition with Othmann. I think Sykora is still getting acclimated to NA ice, but doing so really well. In 2 years nyr can possibly have an electric bottom 6 as long as Drury doesn't keep Goodrow or trying to keep plugging in the bottom 6 with Bonino types instead of giving the kids a shot.I’m not into rushing them but it’s annoying that Berard and Sykora aren’t quite ready yet. According toe Keegan Jarvis who covers the Pack, as of last night's game , Edstrom and Nash are both listed as week to week with Nash as a LBI and Edstrom an UBI.Is Edstrom back or is there any update on him?
Berard maybe. The other two are younger and not ready.May be time to clear out the bull shit and give Berard/Othmann and maybe even eventually Sykora a look.
the trusty veterans are not getting it done.
