Watching the game now:

not much happening in that first period. Nice set up from Gropp to Nieves who batted it in.

as I said last night I missed the last couple of games but there’s not a whole lot happening for the Oregan line right now. They were buzzing a week or so ago but nada in that period. Kravtsov continues to focus on his defensive assignments we don’t know it’s very possible that’s what he’s been told to do right now. But his positioning and effort to get back is there.

Huska looks good big strong kid I just wish his technique and flexibility was a bit better. He can be lumbering coming out of the butterfly into his recoveries. But allaire can continue to cut down on his movements I believe. Just such a big strapping looking goaltender. Very intimidating just not a lot to shoot at. The nhl pace may prove to be difficult for him though we’ll see. This is a great opportunity for him to run with a good team and develop

honestly, completely seriously

Fogarty > Nieves
Ehhh, you know how much I love Fogarty, but I'm not sure. Fogarty is more responsible defensively, but that's about it. They possess similar strength, Nieves is a better skater, and while neither has any offense to speak of, Nieves can at least pick up the odd point. On occasion he makes himself look dangerous. Fogarty isn't going to do that. If given the chance he'll probably be effective on the forecheck, but I can totally see him finishing his career with like 50 games played and 2 points or something.

At the NHL level I think Nieves is a bit more useful. That said, he has shown that he's basically a 4A guy so I'm all for giving Fogarty a look, as he has earned it.

I'd take either over Haley.

The area can be a fun little getaway for couples.

Catch a game, grab some candy, lots of wineries around, etc.

Definitely, we live out in Springfield now so crossing into CT is very easy for us. Shoot me a DM next time you’re around!!

Crazy game so far. Charlotte kicked our butts in back to back games a few weeks back. They took the lead 1-0 early tonight, but the Lettieri responded 27 seconds later. Charlotte made it 2-1 and O'Regan tied it 1:03 later, then Beleskey gave the Pack the leader 10 seconds later on a great pass by Raddysh.

Free TV day- nice to see Jacob Pritchard play again.

Looking like a NYR game with 6 goals in the first

Pack up 4-3 midway thru 2nd. Kravtsov looked pretty dangerous on couple of shift even drawing penalty.

One of the things I've found interesting about Hartford is that the 4A guys they brought in, none of them are really having awesome years. They've all been anywhere from decent to very good, but no one is blowing the doors off the joint. PDG, O'Regan, LoVerde, Nieves, Ebert, etc. Normally on a really good AHL team you have at least one or two 4A guys that are killing it. But Hartford, even our own 4A guys like Lettieri, they're playing well but not amazingly so. Hartford is deep and well-coached, and generally gets really good goaltending. I like how they're built but also wish that we'd acquire some real high-end 4A AHL veteran, a guy who will go at a point per game but also who has no illusions of being in the NHL.

I guess the positive is, usually the 4A guys we sign mail it in after 10 games.
