Guess looked sad at work and tbh I almost did cry but I have a good GM who jumped in and talked to me. Gave me a good hug too.

We were slow so I got to FT my girls.

Ugh miss them so much
It is ok to be sad at Christmas and express it. Hell it is ok any time of year. This time of year is hard for so many of us for different reasons.

I say this as someone who genuinely hates to see people sad, please talk to someone in the new year. You will feel better plus you can talk through how you can build up your relationship with your girls.

Just got in trouble at this party I’m at by saying “and the skor pieces were hand crushed” mockingly as my girl put her dessert down

Fellas what’s my approach here
Meh

I’d choose another battle for another day. Apologize, even if it’s fake, and enjoy ten minutes of safety…

Until you f*** up again. Because, well, you are a man, and she is a woman, and that’s just what happens.

I didn’t say it was fair, or even the truth. That’s just how it is.

Wife is a bit down.... losing our Bernese mountain dog 2 weeks ago, who was born on Christmas

They were best friends and she said Piper was the favorite pet she has ever had

I love that some of you took my party plight story seriously - I was only trying to make you laugh, lol - if I ever married a girl that couldn’t handle being chirped (and who chirps me right back ten times better for the record) my marriage would last six seconds

For I am neelydan, ruffler of feathers

Then you don’t listen to her enough or she is not for you. Either way what the hell do we know? Unless we know you, her and both all of us here don’t know.

You will figure it out. Trust your gut.

Confused or not, sounds like a hell of a night. Merry Christmas!

I got this Tom Clark gnome for Christmas. My parents started collecting them in 1980. They put the first one on the mantle and every year the collection would grow. They are still on the mantle at my mom's house here. Years ago, I got my dad the basketball themed gnome and he put it right in front. They stopped making them so the tradition stopped. Until this year.

The official name for this gnome is Puck and the base is a hockey puck.

Odd random question but does anyone have experience in keeping critters away

I was out house-sitting for a week, and in that time an opossum started showing up at night on the blink camera and hanging around the doghouse where the food and water bowls are. I came back with the dog, washed the bowls and sprayed down everything, hoping that plus the presence of the dog and his scent would naturally keep the opossum away, but he came back last night and started poking at the food bowl while my dog is out there staring at him and doing basically nothing about it.

I googled and there are plenty of things that repel opossums, like vinegar, garlic, etc., but those would also bother the dog. I'm going to take in the food and water at night and try to clear some of the vegetation on the side of the house where he may be hiding. Other than that, are there any tricks to keeping critters out of the yard without harming your own pets? I don't want to kill it (he's kind of cute, tbh), but I'd like him to move along.
