Growing up my father loved Dean Martin, and very recently I've understood it. He has funny songs from a time I didn't think they did them, and then 90% of his others are heartfelt bangers.

My parents loved him too. I always thought he was just a drunk when I was a kid and never took him seriously. Now I realize the amazing voice he had.

When I took Hattie outside this morning, it was like somebody turned on a sepia filter outside. I don't recall ever seeing it like that. It was around sunrise, right before a big storm moved in (just in time for my morning commute, lovely).
Mother Nature has been doing weird things everywhere lately. This was from Sunday morning. Not a tornado thankfully. Seen a few of these types of cloud patterns in the last week or so since we keep bouncing from the 60's to the 40's with overnight temps in the low 30's.

This was in Vancouver at the Capilano Rainforest. The suspension bridge swings constantly as you walk over. People who are afraid of heights cannot go. I went. It was raining/ drizzling but beautiful.

Aside from freelance writing, which I consider my true profession, retail is shit.
To mix metaphors, this worker
is happy as a clam. You could not pay me enough to be a manager or a supervisor. Especially in retail. Which is garbage for the most part.
For example, I worked as a cashier and then a greeter at CVS on Newbury Street. For about a year.
I was hired by a really cool guy who quickly resigned and went to work down the street a Chick-fil-A.
The guy he replaced was nice enough, they're so wrapped up in being a manager it was not funny. Too true. His entire life was that store. His second in command, and I was #MeToo before #MeToo became a thing, was a complete bitch. Especially to me.
