I've shared this here before but I was reminded of it again tonight and it never fails to make me laugh until I cry. For years I only knew the audio existed but then I found this lip sync video version a couple years ago and it's even funnier

HDMI cable wasn’t long enough to run through the wall. It’s on order. I am pleased

Newton, MA.
I discovered this charmer back in 2001 whilst visiting my brother Bob and his wife Sara in Montpelier, Vermont, where they lived at the time.

Montpelier has the happy luck to receive Montreal's CBC station. In French, of course.

Don't worry, English speaking North Americans; author Roch Carrier narrates en Anglais.

Curl up beside the fire with your favorite (adult) beverage and be a kid again.

Joyeux Noel,

Love it! I may be looking to do something similar on my tv wall in the new year but it depends on what type of couch/chairs I go with.
Thanks Ali! I wish the console under the tv was a little wider, and i wish the electrician didn’t put the tv outlet so freaking high. The tv had to be mounted slightly higher than i prefer because i needed to cover the new outlet. But overall, I’m happy with the look. It’s all ikea hemnes pieces we found here and there on Facebook. Picked it all up as college kids left town earlier this year

Thats a great setup. I got the same bottom Ikea piece, just in black, in my living room. My wife would love to flank it & the TV with book shelves like you have but the wall is slightly too short so we just have one. Plus if it did fit, I'd have to move a dog bed, and Sherman would be lost. Hes worst with changes them I am haha.

Oh even just one shelf to the side, with a tv stand is still a sharp layout! It all depends on the space too of course. Plus like you said, the pup has already claimed the other side!

I’m not a big IKEA guy, but this particular product line is pretty solid. I just wish they sold their paint colors so i could get a jar and do some touch ups

Good call on the furniture. I only have to buy one bookshelf on Amazon so it will only be about $100 to complete the wall.

My brother in law is going to mount my tv for me so I won't have to worry about it being too high thankfully.
