Interesting that he said he didn't know too many guys on the team personally, besides Kuokkanen (albeit very briefly) pretty big move for him in that regard. Wasn't that familiar with Ruff either! Outside of obviously playing against us (seasons ago)..

He literally came to this organization with a fresh mind to be a difference maker, ready to gel with the team. Feels good.

I don't pay too much attention to international tournaments but I would've thought he and Severson might have crossed paths at one of them

Dougie's never played in a WC and Sevo only played in 2019. Age wise they wouldn't line up for any Junior events either

In all fairness Vancouver is probably the most beautiful city in North America.
I completely agree. Easily my favorite NA city I’ve ever visited. People that have never even set foot in NJ shouldn’t really be sounding off on it based solely on stereotypes though. To them the whole state looks like Newark. I’ve only been to NJ a couple times, but once you get out into the other areas it seemed perfectly nice to me. I remember liking Montclair the last time we went up there.

Being from the Midwest (specifically Ohio), I know about places unfairly getting a bad rap.

From what I remember in his draft year, reports were saying that Dougie Hamilton was a walking computer. I think his grades were just abnormal and that he was the brightest kid in the draft. If that’s the case, his brain is programmed to play hockey and I’ve always put an emphasis on hockey IQ.

We are adding all the right pieces to our puzzle and if we can land a legit winger for Hughes and a veteran 3rd line center, I honestly think we can make some legit noise next year.

Nah Ohio truly sucks.

Confirmed. It's only good for getting a lot of house for a little price in some places. Weather sucks - nasty winters with wet snow, humid hot summers, old cities and rust belt manufacturing trying to not be the next Detroit and some real hotbeds of racism with so many small rural farming towns surrounding the big cities amd a ton of trucking traffic tearing up the roads that are always under construction between I-70, I-71, and I-75.

I said something negative about Ohio a few years back, I said the rivers are so polluted they catch on fire, and you did not like that! You said "how do you know, do you live here" !!!
edit: I posted this video I saw on Tosh.O back a few years ago, its a knock on Cleveland

Really outdated view on this area. But like I said misconceptions about places you’re not overly familiar with are all too common. You Jersey guys should understand that.
