Obviously you struggled to read what I wrote, the first time, and had to actually answer this time, except for the initial point of course , which was all that assumes an owner wants to pay 10.5 million in bonus, and then just move the player.Yes, you seemed to struggle to understand, so I tried to reword it in a way that you hopefully would.
We'll try 1 more time
If Hamilton is moved in this coming offseason, it will almost certainly be after July 1st (due to the protections of his NMC which reduce on July 1st), and so it will be AFTER he gets his bonus on July 1st. Whether the owner wants it done pre or post bonus or not doesn't really come into play.
If he is moved after the 25-26 season, it could be either before or after the bonus depending on the destination. Either way he's a real money steal tho.
If you're sending him to Florida for example, who had a profit of just 6.6 mill last year or Ottawa at just 3.8 mill, or WPG (operating at a loss) for example, you probably wait until after the bonus.
In terms of the cap. You simply wait for the Bouchard and Dobson contracts to reset the market and make 9 mill seem much cheaper as the standard.
No-one actually knows what the owners thoughts on that are.
