They were reporting on this. I couldn't believe the timing. You have Max and Lewis less than a second apart on the last lap of the race and then whoops we have to cut-in to tell you nothing substantial. They seriously could not have waited one more minute? :skeptic:
Durham police: No shots fired at The Streets at Southpoint Mall, people likely heard broom hitting table :: WRAL.com

They broke in to tell us they had no news.

When they went back, Max was celebrating during his cool down lap

So it’s a sequel to the 2016 Crabtree Mall Food Court Massacre.

A lot of sports take a back seat to tragedy here. I would say F1 is a pretty easy one on the list.
it was a broomstick falling onto a table

Look, I get wanting to take stuff seriously, but this was sensationalism run amok. It was almost like they were desperate for it to actually be a story that they didn't bother verifying before running with it.

To be fair, we got a robocall from Durham Public Safety whatever warning about a possible shooting at Southpoint and to avoid the area. So I guess a bunch of people jumped to some crazy ass conclusions.

Man, I remember when Durham was where people actually got shot. Now that's Raleigh.

Our texts blew up from DPS that day. First time that ever happened.

f***ing yuppies running everything man.

Mexico GP today 2 pm or so Eastern Time (two hours from now, I'm not 100% sure what that does in America money).

Dream start for Red Bull, holy hell
Damn, I don't have that channel that shows it. Not surpsrised if Bottas lost the position. (We don't even have a nickname for him. The Finnish ones are too cruel for public consumption and untranslateable anyway. Suffice to say it's something close to a piss pot.) He's fast but he doesn't know how to run and manage a multi-lap race to the end. Hamilton in contrast is a strategist. Verstappen might be, but he's a bit hot headed.

Actually, when NrS popped this thread up, I thought it must be about Hamilton the Pig, not silly European circuit race cars.

So how is our affable swine porky friend?

The twists and turns in last nights Hamilton Rear Wing drama were something else. Ultimately, I think the right penalties were given to Max and Lewis. And still apparently Mercedes might have problems with their rear wing

I'm tired of Hamilton winning, but damn, Verstappen has to calm the eff down
I’m a Max fan so I’m biased, but I legitimately don’t know how he shoulders essentially 3 penalties from one incident.

Max tried to give up the spot and got crashed into, so couldn’t. Gets a 5 second penalty due to not giving it up soon enough

Max gives up the spot the next time

Max gets a 10 second penalty for getting crashed into

About the crash, I honestly think the braking is a red herring. These are professional drivers and both know the DRS game they were playing. The lead up to the braking, Max was off throttle, so Lewis is gaining on him. So why is Lewis on Max’ line and not passing him like any other situation with a car going slowly? There was ample time AND space for him to not drive straight into Max and he did it anyway. Max literally HAS to give up the spot, and now Lewis can do it on his own terms too? It’s ludacris
