Well I didn't add Rundblad 'cause I believe it will take way more than Leblanc. I do have some guys in there that would cost more than Leblanc but I believe that it would cost even more...maybe too much.

Howden is from the 2010 draft. I didn't add those guys as they might still be analysed. 2nd complete season in the AHL....might not be as offensive as some would like him to be but maybe he'd be fine. We could probably go with the 2010 draft too.....See a guy like Kevin Hayes, big guy...but still in College. Is Chicago interested in letting him go. Never was interested in John McFarland, I do find he has a surprising stint this year in the AHL......I always was a big fan of Dalton Smith. Incredibly limited offense but energetic physically mature player....Brett Bulmer maybe....

But then we'll probably end up, to stay within the limits of size, with Jordan Weal. Great AHL seasons though....

theres plenty of options, i just think if management was smart they see that lebanc is great when he in the nhl

Okay, first he was on the top pairings for a few years in Michigan. Was key in the PP and the PK. Was always tough but never could fight. We saw his progression in that deparatment when he was allowed to do it. What is indeed remarkable is indeed the points he's putting at that level.

But while he is tough and a good fighter....let's not use that Sceviour as a proof that he's dominating....it is Colton Sceviour after all. But he is tough and always was.

Pateryn is not a very good fighter, though.

He is not bad. He's not a goon. Would get killed against goons, but would take mid-range guys like Hendricks with no problem. Didn't look bad against tough guy like Bagnall. I did say good. Not very good. Not higher than that. But he's not a bad one, or so I don't think. Shouldn't initiate things, but should be there if needed.

I believe "great" is too strong of a word. But he looks better. For sure though, with more confidence, he'd be good. Yet, another frail winger that will never be a top 6 player and that doesn't fit in my idea of a great bottom 6 forwards. Let's hope he does have the chance to prove it though.

is he really frail though? i'm always surprised at how well he battles along the boards. Definitely seems stronger than he looks.

I'm starting to think he might be a bit of a late bloomer. I won't be mad if we don't stick around long enough to find out but I can see it happening. We have such a crazy influx of forward talent that he won't be missed.

sorry i meant that we will in hamilton the next two years.

I am also optimistic about the incoming crop. However, let's wait until they actually play. One guy I'm really high on is Collberg and he could come in and impress, but we really don't know. He could really poop the bed, he could get hurt, he could dislike Hamilton....there are so many variables.

Who expected Andrighetto to have this kind of year? Same with Louis Leblanc?

Better than Gorges, Markov or Drewiske and on par or better than Emelin Bouillon, Murray and Subban, especially if you don't want Subban wasting his time fighting or Emelin putting his health in jeopardy.

Murray and Bouillon are both better fighters hands down.

While Howden and Rundblad are both good picks, Hayes caught my attn., the reason being that Beau Starrett has been favorably compared to Hayes and is available in the 2014 draft. Beau is expected to be the same hgt & wgt, has good hands and is not really making any of the regular lists of draftees. Central Scouting rates him a B prospect, which normally has a prospect in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rds. With size playing such a big part in the Elite teams, a player that is predicted to be 6 ft.6ins and 230 lbs. winger opens my eyes, the Habs should be following his progress with ardor.IMHO instead of trading assets for these players.

When our group of scouts are considered to be in the top 1% of evaluators, these High School prospects and others like Chatham and MacInnis are well known in the US. To compete with the best franchises, Timmins and Bergevin need to be aware and drafting these players, before St.Louis and others or it will be another decade before the Habs are true contenders, at least IMHO.

Singing the praises of smaller talented players that disappear around these types should be evidence that midgets cannot compete against players of like abilities with 6 ins. and 30 lbs. advantages, simply put. Fair no, but true yes, there are no heavyweight leagues, that play separate from Flyweight leagues in hockey. So you pays your moneys and takes your chances, I am betting the teams with bigger players will continue to win the SC and those that buck the system will not ever win again.

The Mayer Madness has to stop. Tokarski is the #1 and that's it. Who is naked on the pictures that Mayer has in his drawer???

Tinordi seems to have trouble clearing the puck on his backhand. Luckily this time he got it back but then resorted to switching to his forehand to clear. I noticed that a couple of times when he was with the habs.

Thanks for comment/observation...was just about to ask if anyone here has been watching, paying attention to Tinordi's play recently.

Maybe this is something he can work on in practice, and...
I hope he will be kept on the left side if he gets some ice-time with Habs at end of season or for playoffs...

Overall...how has he looked recently?
(looking so forward to Tinordi becoming a regular...we've needed a defensive dman with his size/height for decades now).

I'm expecting Tinordi to be a meaner/grittier/faster Hal Gill, and with...some offensive potential, but more defensive VS offensive for the beginning of his career. Souray was supposed to be a defense-first (defensive) dman when he started in New Jersey/Mtl...and then we all discovered his cannon of a shot!
(but right now...we need Tinordi to be that gritty big/tall defensive dman we've needed since many decades now...the offense will come later).

He has a great along the boards IQ....not sure you can make a living that way. Will still get pushed around pretty easily. Whether it's a balance issue or whatever, end result is that he's still not your typical bigger bottom 9 grinder. With everything we have in the system that is younger, Leblanc is redundant. Idea is to trade average for average, get both of the guys traded a new start, but hoping we'd go towards a possible need.
