Look at score sheets around the league, incredible the current or former Bulldogs names. Bulldogs, 67's, Petes, Knights,... sometimes the Soo,

I thought we were going to fall out of the playoffs and be in the lottery. Whether I need to credit the GM, or the coach, or the 2 guys that came over in the Petes trade, or ridicule myself.

I started focusing on u16s because I thought we'd have a real high pick (I think I've said before, I have a family member that is a u16 and will be drafted) and I've seen some of those kids for 10 years. Not going to be picking super high.

I thought the same thing.

The thing that I didn't account for post deadline was how good Panwar and Lardis would be for us this year.

And the goaltending has been perfectly fine.

I think this season has shown McKee can coach both an elite team and a rebuilding team, if the GM gives him the players appropriate to the expectations.

Great hire by this organization. I'd be fine with him being a lifer here.

Yep, that's exactly the way I see it. He is strong with the puck, but often skates around the net and back out to the blue line with it.

What a great effort by the boys today!

I can't figure this Petes team out. I watch them warm up and they look like they should be an absolute powerhouse, but it hasn't translated yet for the most part.

Lardis just gets better and better...

Yeah, and his stat line shows it. Plenty of assists, not a lot of goals. Still, what I also like about him is his pursuit of the puck. He goes out and gets it, and contests it.

That was a great game, it was like the Petes fell asleep in the second and woke up too late into the third to win it. Not quite sure what sparked that brawl at the end of the second, but the officiating in terms of dropping the puck or taking time to review things was fairly bad tonight.

Lardis is certainly going to be a keeper.

Rumour has it they've sold 2400 season tickets and they want all 2950 to be seasons.

Actual hockey on ice, Barrie looks pretty good. Guys battling hard, but every mistake is in our net. Do I have to continue to gush over Lardis? Will be interesting to see who is his C next year.

Barrie isn't really the sexy pick, but they are a big heavy team that would not be fun to play against in the playoffs.

Patrick Thomas will be his C next year, unless they try Sherk between the two. Lardis has special hands.

I have a feeling that a flu bug is making going through the team. Patrick Thomas was a late scratch and Lucas Moore took the warm up and then didn't play.

Honestly, if Brantford sells that many season tickets they deserve the team. That's a pretty crazy amount.

I will still be going to games and posting here. I committed to the initial 3 years of season tickets in Brantford.

I would love to know how many Hamilton people are. Where you live in Hamilton can have a significant impact on drive time.

I'm in Mount Hope, so it's only 10 mins further for me. I'm just not going because I want them to come back. I know that 2 people don't make a difference, but it's my own little protest. Protest isn't even the right word because I don't blame management. Honestly, they lost me when they changed the name.

I'll probably go to more road games in the meantime and make more use of my CHL pass to watch home games.

I don't think anyone can be blamed for whatever position they choose to take on the issue.

Honestly, if I had no attachment to the city of Brantford and if Niagara had ownership I could trust, I would have at least considered going there.

36 minutes to the Meridian, 42 minutes to the Civic. The sad part is it was only 15 minutes to FOC.

Probably, although the frequency will likely drop off, my game plan was to buy a flex pack for the Brantford seasons, as I just can't commit to that much travel for season tickets, but if the team doesn't move back, well I wish them well at that point. I'm sure at some point another tenant will move into the new building.

Would your preference be another OHL team or AHL,

OHL for sure. The team needs to be Hamilton's team, not someone else's farm, and despite not being a Leafs fan myself, I can't see any AHL team doing well in Hamilton save the Leafs affiliate.

Of course an NHL team would be great, but that ship has sailed and that dream is long dead.

I don't want to beat a dead horse (I kinda do), but imagine being a contending team and trading Panwar and Lardis. Nevermind the picks.

Big win today.

Panwar and Lardis do it again.

They mentioned that Lucas Moore was 'feeling better' so I'm pretty sure that I was right when I said there was a flu bug running through the room. Still no Thomas and now Bujold was out as well.

Watching Jorian Donovan today, he looked really sluggish as well.

It is a broken record at this point, but it's weird when Lardis doesn't score a goal. He's having an incredible second half. As many goals as he is getting, he could have had a few more today and hit the post on an incredibly smooth Michigan attempt Friday night as well.

Goaltending and the 1st line. Can't say much else about today. Big crowds are fun, so much blue in the building today. Was a fun environment.

Great crowd today.

I'm going to say, I told you so... about Donovan being sick. This team has a few players battling illness and gutted out a huge win.

By far, Malboeufs best game of his career. He stole this one.

I still can't believe the way some people talk about these players. I had a Rangers fan behind me that called Arcuri a loser and then yelled "how does it feel to be a loser in your hometown" at Costantini. This was a guy that was probably 60 yrs old. It just blows me away. The Costantini comment didn't go over well with the people around him.
