Quick thoughts:
Tried to get used to equipment on RB, couldn't do it. After so many years of using melee abilities on Destiny with RB, I have to swap equipment to the stick. I think it will be fine, because given equipment has limited use and has to be picked up, I'll have equipment less often than I'll use melees. We shall see, if it's a disaster, I'll switch it back and force myself to learn.
Love the Sidekick. Not as much as the 5SK Magnum in Halo 5, but almost as much. Just feels so crisp.
BR feels good. It's got just the right touch of bloom to keep it from dominating outside it's intended range, but not so much that it feels inconsistent.
I think the AR does the right amount of damage. You basically need to empty an entire clip to kill somebody unless you combine it with a grenade to weaken or a melee to finish. I do think the range should be toned down a bit though.
Grenades feel a bit weak, but it's understandable. They don't want grenade spam to take over. Right now you basically have to make the enemy sit on your grenade to kill them with it or even get them one shot. It will usually take two grenades in the vicinity of an enemy to kill them. That's fine. Ideally, you're not using grenades as your primary weapon, you're using them to weaken or flush out enemies.
The Melee feels really bad to me, but I think that's probably just cause I'm so used to Destiny. The range just feels really inconsistent, and hitting people from above with it in particular just feels... I'm bad at it, is what I'm saying. I'll put more time in to try and adjust, but right now my cybernetic super-soldier feels like he has a gimpy little punch that goes about half a foot in front of him.
I honestly feel like all the new weapons are pretty useless thus far, with the exception of the electric pistol thing that's going to be a team-shooting monster in objective modes.
All the maps feel balanced and well designed, but pretty unmemorable.
If you want to cheese the xp system, just get a group of 4 together and go into the barracks playlist against bots. Back out until you get a CTF game. Proceed to farm the bots with whatever weapons you need to get kills with, cause the match basically lasts as long as you decide. They won't capture a flag.
