That was a pretty solid road game. I thought the team was pretty controlled and didn't try to do too much out there.

Helle after a couple of so so games had a very strong night.

There was some rust early but Trouba shook it off as the game went on. Him and JoMo did a nice job against the Leafs high end forwards.

Morrow was scary in his own end tonight but Buff was quite good again.

The third pair was ok.

The Scheifele and Laine lines played well but couldn't put anything in the net.

The Little line played hard but couldn't get anything going.

The Lowry line had a real nice game.

What i like about this game.

Jets playing they playoff of mode defense.
Less hitting as this game doesnt really do anything except clinch 2nd now.


All the offensive gunner of the team concentrated on 2 way games instead of run and gun.

The top 2 lines will get all the attention.
It would be nice for little perrault and Armia to producing 1 goal a game from here on end.
Then lowry line every 2nd game.

These 2 lines will be the difference if we will make a run this year.

Ita very hard to put perrault in another line to get him going.
He use to be the spark plug to get a line goinf before. Last 20+ games he dries up.

I think they need a bit more speed on that line. I would like to try Roslovic there for a couple of games to see if adding a burner helps open up some ice for Perrault and Little.

In Toronto’s defense they were gassed they’ve had a pretty grueling week, but even with that considered the Jets smothered them and never really gave them a chance. All around solid system win

That's why the Leafs have lost a few games after taking a big lead. They over play their top 2 lines in the first half of the game to get a lead and once they get it ... they rely on Anderson to bail them out the rest of the game.

I got tired of listening to the pro-Leafs announcers every time they talked about the Leafs, which was pretty well always until they got down 3-1.

I get it; Toronto delta bravos are your biggest audience segment but at least make a pretense of being neutral in your coverage.
