Also, I’m really not sure why Kreider is getting OT time. He looks like he’s at 50% right now, he visibly looks like his back is locking up with every stride he takes. I feel like he probably shouldn’t even be playing right now with how he looks, let alone getting time in the 3 on 3 OT. Surely Cuylle or Smith should be getting that time, no?

Trocheck-Panarin
Mika-Laf
Chytil-Smith/Cullye

Should be the 3 forward lines right now, there’s no reason to be using Kreider.

Can anyone here imagine if this team drafted a kid with even half the skating ability of Lane Huston

Skating was the difference tonight. Younger team better on the B2B with better legs. That's all this was.

Poor drafting has always been and will always be the curse of this organization
he was drafted in the 2nd round. we don't have any 2nd round picks. ever.

we need tyler motte!

That was a pathetic 3rd period. Lock it the f*** down. Too loose. You have Fox joining odd man rushes getting caught up ice so an odd man rush can go the other way. Board play was egregiously bad in their own. Losing most battles, and thats if they were quick enough to get to the boards to make it a battle.

Borgen’s worst game as a Ranger was an abomination. He took those 2 big hits and was not the same player. Panicking with the puck, out of position, and just slow in thinking the game. Schneider wasn’t good either. Lindgren was Lindgren.

The biggest frustration is the 2 points they badly needed and they couldnt lock it down to get them. The next frustration is letting their f***ing Goalie down. SHAMEFUL.

One goal game and Rempe gives them a goal.

I've always said he's an NHL player but if he's gonna do that, I have to seriously ask of he adds enough to put up with his poor discipline.
He’s an NHL player in the sense that he plays on the team, but that’s about the extent of it lmao

That goal is squarely on Chytil. Coasting and not covering his man who scored the gwg.

If you’re out there on 3 on 3 you have to be on top of your man, wtf is Chytil doing?
Chytil shouldn’t have been on the damn ice. Same with Kreider. They are shit defensively when its 5v5 and you expect them to be disciplined and cover properly 3v3 Lavy?? Make it make sense. Why not give Reilly Smith a shift? Even Carrick. Guys who skate hard and play responsible.

Organization needs a tear down more than the roster. Need a staff that knows how to develop players. Especially forwards. Young talent dies here.
We trade away talented players we drafted, they struggle to succeed here, we trade them away and they magically find their game outside of NYC. It's been a thing for decades.

West coast trip into a home and away back to back…this is one i dont think you can be all that upset getting a point outta the last leg of that stretch.

Dont overanalyze the sloppiness in this one…the schedule creates a couple games for every team that they go into with the gas tank floating on e.

Kreider's game is not made for 3 on 3. He's a net front guy. You need to be able to skate and handle the puck on 3 on 3. He has hands like feet for everything other than deflecting shots.
