Memorable game by Hutson, Monty quietly had a fantastic game and bailed them out at the end. I do sad face if Primeau starts tomorrow.

If they do, then there’s zero reason why Primeau is still in the NHL. If you can’t trust your backup to play in a back to back against the lowly Red Wings, he’s not NHL material. Move on

Hutson struggled tonight. He had a few bad giveaways, but that's going to happen. He's still learning the league & players.

Laine blasted that puck right through Seider's shaft. He's really strong on the boards, too. Upgrading Newhook with Demidov on that line ....

Congratulations to Evans on his 300th NHL game. He had a terrific night.

Only reason they got close to the playoffs last year is because of two veterans in Kane and Perron that played way over their heads. Perron is not there anymore and Kane is brutal

And advanced stats showed they got lucky as well

I'm at work so I missed the game. I just checked the score. When I saw Habs won 4-3, I was almost disappointed because I was sure they won in OT or SO, meaning Wings got a loser point. I was very happy to see that they won it in regulation.

Beat 'em again in regulation tomorrow so we can move ahead of them.

Larkin is 30 so he pretty much is what he is. Seider looked great tonight but yeah, they miss high end talent other than Seider and Raymond.

Yeah, he made up one for the three. The first Detroit goal was his giveaway, so was the third and he couldn't budge the Detroit player from the front of the net. He was a defensive liability tonight. Like most nights.

MSL will have to break Hutson/Matheson, or don't play them with the 1st line against top opposition.

Season’s hanging on a thread. If they play Primeau and he blows it, the full wrath of fans will fall on MSL. I know this fanbase. If he wins, some will probably even blame MSL for being reckless for playing him.

Seriously, Hutson and Laine are a deadly PP combo. Most of Laine goals are from a pass from Hutson.
