This time the other guy got stung. But at the higher levels, he'll face guys that know how to brace for those big hits.

If a monster like Lindros got caught with an open ice hit in the middle and his career went downhill after that, then it can happen to Slaf.
Times have changed. Back in the day, Lindros would get clear headshots and clotheslines and it would be called good hockey plays. Today Scott Stevens would get 20+ games. It’s now the guy that delivers an open ice hit to a rushing 240 pounder that has a serious danger of a concussion.

What I saw from Slaf.

He is really big on the ice and his line was often in the offensive zone. He is a dominant presence and can make thing happen on his own.

He is behind the play a lot and when the puck is on his stick, does not seem to know where his teammates are most of the time. He made a lot of bad passes that were to either to no one or that put his teammates in bad situations, the last buffalo goal comes to mind.

He look really slow even in a rookie tournament. That is not a good thing. He seem to have a bid tendancy to look at the puck when he’s playing. Nearly got caught real bad 3 or 4 times.

Did not see his shot tonight. Each he took one, it looked like a muffin.

I felt like he looked as much a project as Galchenyuk and Kotkaniemi did but it is just 1 game.

He’s got really good hands and when the puck is on his stick, it is really hard to remove it from him. He is definitively making place on the ice for his teammates.

the boy’s were entertaining and showed a lot of creativity & skill. I’m looking forward to our next game.

It sucks that we are missing a lot of talented prospects but it’s encouraging to know we have those kids in the pipeline.

Just here to say that Trudeau actually looks like a good hockey player. He has apeee agility a strong pass and decent hockey IQ ( offensive minded ) he doesn’t look weak either.

Don’t know why no one is talking about him. He has a legit shot to make the AHL if eligible.

Im happy both of my darkhorse prospects scored, Heineman and Beck
These 2 are really good and I like how dynamic and assertive Mesar is. He's a real player. All of them need seasoning but we've got some legit A grades in the farm now. That's really cool. I had such a hard time getting excited about Hudon and the likes

We can stop hyping Xhekaj.

He had a good 20 years old season in the OHL.

He's big but always out of position and looks disinterested to play any defense.

He goes for the big hit that put him out of the play.

I was at the game and thought slaf was the best player on the ice.

I don't know what game you watched but Slaf was the best player on the ice. He made some mistakes (like on the GWG) but he was all over the ice so I don't know how you can call him really slow.
