With Montreal all but out of playoff picture looking to move a few veterans. Give younger player like Struble, Newhook more icetime.

Any teams interested the prices are:

Looking for a 2nd for Evans.
A 2nd for Dvorak
A late first for Savard 50% retained.
A 2nd for Armia.
All above have expiring contracts.

Matheson want a first and a throw-in. He's signed for another season after this at 4.9million.

-Keep Evans
-Take whatever anyone offers for Dvorak and run
-Could see a team paying up for Savard tbh someone always does for those guys
-Armia is actually unreal when he’s on but then he’ll go and disappear for 10 games. 2nd or 3rd seems about right
-Really don’t think there’s a market for Matheson and if you jettison both him and Savard the kids on the back end will be in over their heads

Habs will be hampered by only having 1 retention slot.

Evans should return a 2nd without retention... Savard probably could, too, but might be able to return a 1st with full retention.

Armia might return a 2nd with retention, although that feels optimistic. Without retention, I see the return being as low as a 4th or 5th. Dvorak is also worth very little without major retention.

Vast majority of players can be traded if return cheap enough, cap hit low enough and a GM has no other options to fill a hole on the trade market.

Those prices are wack for Armia, Evans, Dvorak, and Savard. Monahan returned a 1st cause he was playing a premium position top 6 center, these guys are just fodder, most contenders have those spots filled with better players as it is.

I’d do Mathesson @50% for 1st and 4th though.

Let’s turn the conditional 3rd we sent you for Allen into a 2nd, you send us the 3rd back, and we’ll throw you a 4th + mid prospect for Evans.

nah.
Dvorak may get a 4th.
Savard probably 3rd, maybe a 2nd and middling prospect -with retention.
Armia may get a 2nd if he plays well at 4 nations and in second half of the season BUT that will require retention.
I don't think they move matheson until maybe next year. The D's avg age is like 23 without him and Savard.
Evans probably gets best return. He and Armia have been PK beasts and he's punched above his weight as a 2-3C tweener this year. He's 28 and on a ridiculously cheap contact; He's the player teams will want but I expect hughes to resign. Maybe he fetches like a 2nd and 3rd.
just my opinion

Evans is getting pretty underrated here, but no team in their right mind should trade for Dvorak or Savard.

Armia is a good gamble IMO, he can be a beast in the playoffs and when he's bad it usually isn't all that detrimental to the team.

Habs can package low picks or reclamation projects to get up at that level i suppose. Most of them are going to be rough cases to make though.

Montreal needs veterans on D. So have to be prepared to acquire them in the off season either via trade or free agent signing. So, load up on what you can get for your ufa to be but be prepared to use those assets to get help later.

Savard is awful and if he’s dealt for anything more than a 3 rd that team will greatly regret it . Guy is flat out washed. Evans is the only remotely decent piece listed .

Evans isn't someone the habs will look to deal. The rest are pretty much garbage except for Matheson

Armia and Dvorak will fetch spare parts at best.

Savard is nearing the end but veteran RD are always in demand.

Evans I hope is extended, he is closer to Lehkonen than most realize.

The only 2 players that could fetch something interesting is Savard and Evans I think we have to keep them for veteran presence in the locker room. Matheson won't be traded and Dvorak Armia would clear the waivers. Let's be realistic here
