A 2nd pairing defenseman by attribute and contract value slotted into the 1D position at age 24 on a rebuilding team with no acceptable defensive partners with a new and rookie head coach at the helm has a tough 1st half of the season and recovers in the second half. Yes, let's ship him out.

Brooksie is playing the role of angsty teen who's made they're not getting their way with how the Rangers are selling players off. So which one is it Larry: was Yzerman really reluctant to deal Cernak or Hajek as some ruse to trick Gorton, or maybe he's actually a pretty good prospect with a solid top-4 dman ceiling.

He's not stood out one way or another. Leading the team in ice time afaik. Haven't noticed him other than 2 or 3 mistakes and a couple keep ins.
