Fantastic game by Hajek. He plays like this 75% of the time and he’ll be on the top pairing.

Weak sauce from Brady Skjei my goodness.
I'm sure you already know this, but I'm glad others can finally see it: this simple, but highly efficient game is Hajek's bread and butter. He's not flashy, but he'll be engaged in all three zones and more often than not make the right play with the puck. His fundamentals are really sound too.

We should be winning. But we're losing. Oh well.

I guess its good we arent a competitive team?

And, have you heard of Martin Jones? There are terrible goalies on great teams that have amazing records.
Can't see a Martin Jones team winning the Cup.

A below average goalie can win the Cup but he's awful.

Hajek is what Skjei is supposed to be. I think he's the 2nd best young D on this roster RN.

Like to see this effort from Hajek. Happy that they called him up for a shot. Has played solid so far.

Likely more of the same next year. The decent offense coasted this season along. Now that our 3rd best forward is either Vesey, Buchnevich, or Namestikov on any given night, it's going to be terrible. Not sure if management will see this summer as a mega-contract year either. Still two years away from the kids being ready, two years away from Staal, Shattenkirk, and Smith's $17M becomes free real estate.

Pretty much the long and short of it. Watch for the kids, keep accumulating, maybe 1 of the next 2 years they can hot streak into an 8th seed but if not it's fine.

We live here now.

Never understood that article in the Post ripping him. Hajek always has been on an island and rarely had support. Tampa knew he probably would flourish with those weapons up front.
