Because most teams pressure our pointmen so the counter is to work it down low, and having them face that way lets them handle the pass better and do give and gos easier from the goal line.

Unless you just were complaining, then yeah, off wing is usually better.

Yep.
He got lots of $#@! in TB because many said he was only good because he played with Stamkos or Tyler Johnson...but when either of those two weren't available or injured, he played just as well.
He really does have a nice set of skills, not the least of which is not being afraid to drive the net.

The type of player who needs an up tempo style, a clearly defined role, and the coach's confidence to keep rolling him out there in key situations....he should do the rest.
