Pre-Game Talk: Habs @ SENS, Friday 7pm

The Suzuki reverse hit on Kleven last game summed up the season series. Sens we’re willing, they just weren’t ready. Suzuki exploded on Kleven like a spring

I think the Sens right now want to win a game their way and be dominant and not the way they have won all season which was just to do enough to get 2 points - so not sure if they win tonight. The next few games are exorcise the demon games. To me they don’t matter, but it would be nice to win bs the Habs.

I think now that we’re in, if you’re a Sens player you go in with your eyes closed and you give it all you got and don’t look at who you’re facing.

I would love to face the Leafs to re-ignite that rivalry and make it more interesting league wide but othwerwise all teams we face will be a major challenge, including Toronto.

I say we should not worry about who we face. Try to clean up our own game for the rest of the season, rest some key guys that are dealing with injuries, try to break some player slumps (I.E. Stutzle) and have everyone confident going in. Reinforce playing the right way.

When you start worrying about who you’ll face you’re already having a flawed thought process IMO. Come in guns blazing and give it all you got, and learn along the way. That’s all we can ask for. If this team gives it all they have and lose in 4 I’ll be proud regardless. Love this team.

Exactly. I want the team focused on our own dressing room and being the best they can be. If it means sitting guys with bumps and bruises, do it. For others, get 'em on the ice and playing the right way.

And the biggest upsets tend to happen in the first round....so bring it on!

I don’t know the cap implications, but against Montreal I would sit both Tkachuk and Stutzle if Cousins is a go. Stu always has a target on him, Montreal openly called him a diver and always goes extra at him. Couple that with Stu being good but frustrated in his ability to shoot and it could be a recipe for disaster.

Rotate Gilbert and, I think I need a shower after this, Hamonic while giving Jensen, Chabot, Sanderson, and/or Zub some rest and recovery time.

Regardless, I would love nothing but a thorough beatdown of the Scabs, but not at all expense. Gotta make sure the players are as healthy as possible and ready to go come playoffs.

Ole ole my ass, Go Sens GO!
Gilbert should 100 percent be in tonight. As well as Hamonic. Bring up Macewen too while we're at it. Give Jensen and Chabot the night off as well as Brady ofcourse and Stutzle.

Need this team healthy come playoffs.

Hamonic is bad offensively, but I don't get how that happens when his most common partner is top 10 in D scoring...
Because high and off the glass regardless of pressure like the puck is a live grenade means you give up control of the puck. Can't score when you don't have control of the puck.

Sure, except at 46% CF% and 2.23 xGF/60 we've clearly got the puck in the oppositions end of the ice with control for at least a reasonable chunk of the time. The delta between his GF/60 and xGF/60 is -1.3, next closest Dman with 800+ mins is -.88, thats more than a full standard deviation worse then the next worst player and about 3 and a half Standard deviations worse than the average.

So does anyone have a suggestion for a GDT theme? I'll be making one a bit later when more info comes out about who plays.
