so what do we do with younger players like Dach,Newhook, Xhekaj, Barron, Struble who seem to be getting worst every season?

How do we get them to get out of their funks of being awful every other night?? These guys are supposed to be part of the long term solution to win a cup. Looks like the opposite now.

(yeah i know Newhook was great tonight, my point still stands for the season)
Yes I have been thinking of this too. If these young players don’t develop. The window closes again. This core may just not be good enough. And that includes nick. I think demidov and Hutson and fowler may be the first pieces in a new core. But that means another 5 years of building. I don’t see Suzuki ever leading this core to a cup. Never have. May have to start over again. Another 5 years.

Wow
So we hit dead last in the East early this year lol..

You know.. drafting 1st again wouldn't be the worst thing in the world lol

At least we're already at the bottom instead of killing ourselves trying to GET to the bottom the last 2 years lol..
Oh well
So be it!

Since you haven’t been watching, I’ve had to take over your gig of ordering takeout during games.

I’ve found the most amazing Turkish doner place — the best sandwich I’ve ever tasted, bread made fresh on the spot. You better come back to game threads soon otherwise, I’m just going to overdose on these sandwiches. 😹

LOLOLOLOL

That sandwich looks like it wants to eat me like some Turkish tongue trap.

It just has to be good.

It's not a statutory holiday for the majority of the Canadian population (Quebec + Ontario + Manitoba) so you only get the day off if you're a federal employee.
Wow, I always put it just below Christmas and Easter next to to Thanks giving.

A former co-worker of mine (and still a friend) and I once got yelled at for taking a minute of silence. One minute. After the minute was up, we both threatened to quit. We didn't. We should have. ONE minute!

it's difficult to use memorial day to browbeat and guilt the population into hating each other, and so it has fallen out of favor with the powers that be.
It is really sad that a reminder that war is not glorious or good has become what its become. People have no idea what the poppy is about these days. Its not about military worship, but its been so long since ww2 the boomers have deluded themselves into thinking they fought it lol

things won't change until we get a franchise #1 C on this team, not ever.

Most major chains here don't open until afternoon, and other than restaurants, convenience and such most small businesses stay close all day.

It's a f***ing joke that this hasn't been ratified as a statutory holiday across Canada.
It's actually insulting for those who had parents who either participated in WWl and or WWII or supported the war effort in some way.

My Dad a member of the RAF/RCAF Bomber Command flew missions into Germany throughout the war.
When he passed a number of years ago our family put together a memorial focusing on his service.
Of the items he kept were his medals flight logs telegrams news clippings a scorched metal ripcord handle and a picture of 150 class graduates.

The picture had two people circled on it the only other two people of his class to survive the war.

So yeah some of us might just feel strongly about this issue.

Or maybe mgmt changes tactics and stop blindly trusting a lucky shot at superstars only...
How many top 5 picks that they picked themselves does CAR have ? NYR ? FLA ? DAL ?
