Can someone tell Daniele Sauvageau that's it "hypnotisé", not "hynoptisé"? She said it at least thrice tonight lol.
Remembering her earlier appearances on AC when she distinctly pronounced “Galaguerre”.

This mess is 100% Hugo.

They have a very young team and they hire inexperienced coaches who can’t implement any D structure at all.
Plus, they knew or should have known in the offseason that their rumored targets (vet RD and gritty forward) could have been had then rather than chase them now that the market is not conducive to trading. Unless, Hughes had opportunities and just decided it was too rich of a price to pay.

The first 2-3 years of a rebuild is usually OK because fans are optimistic and think every pick will hit. It's the following 2-3 years that are the worst because that is when you start having expectations and teams take you a bit more seriously only to find out why you are a REBUILDING team.
It doesn't help when the team overachieves when there is a clear cut #1 in the draft and plays their true potential when there is not.

Let's not forget this is still 75% Bergevin's team. Suzuki, Caufield, Gallagher, Armia, Dvorak, Anderson, Evans, Savard, Pezzetta.

Also glad the Hughes honeymoon is over. I have been critical of him for a year now. It's time other people wake up too.

I haven't been able to watch all the games this year, but when I see every night we only scored like 2 goals and only the vets recorded any points, that's a major issue. I'm fine with losing as long as our young guys are doing well and improving, but they really aren't outside of the first line (and Guhle) ((Hutson is a rookie so he cannot improve nor regress))
Since you haven’t been watching, I’ve had to take over your gig of ordering takeout during games.

I’ve found the most amazing Turkish doner place — the best sandwich I’ve ever tasted, bread made fresh on the spot. You better come back to game threads soon otherwise, I’m just going to overdose on these sandwiches. 😹

Put the game on while taking care of the catch of the day and what a surprise, Montreal gave them a game. A very good effort for a change and it showed what they are capable of, just need to bring that every game and learn to play better defense. A lot of the players looked good, some very good, what were they waiting for.
I thought it was good effort and an exciting game to watch. We’re still just a bit short on talent and experience to overcome bad calls and couple of poor individual performances. But it was good to see that they played a heavy game against a good team.

He gets a lot of flack here but I thought Anderson played a strong game and took very few shifts off. If he keeps up that effort, Anderson will secure a good return at the TDL.

I thought Struble had his best game of the season. He showed good mobility and was very physical. Struble is the type of player that other players hate to play against and who will soon become a core player for us going forward.

Something that i have noticed is that whenever Slaf or other player has a quieter game MSL drops them down the line-up or cuts them from 4v4 or PP or overtime. But he never does that to Suzuki or Caufield or Matheson.

I thought they played very well last light. They couldn’t contain Hughes, but he is also one of the best players in the world.

Tensions are high and folks are frustrated, but the team played well

Xhekaj is playing a lot better for the last 4 games. But once again, MSL doesnt gives him more than 10-12 minutes.

No accountability on this team beside for Xhekaj. Stupid coach is stupid.

Better effort by the team in a general sense, but every f***ing game, we look awfully bad in our own zone. I wonder how frustrating that must be for the players, and whether they are all buying into the system St. Louis is trying to implement.

On another, more incredulous note, I'm surprised by the present vibe of this fanbase and forum. Many fans on here, some even pro-tank, are criticizing the Habs brass harshly & vocally, and have set some unrealistic expectations for this team.
No man's land was best-case scenario for this squad at the start of pre-season. Well, tough luck, the consensus of this fanbase was wrong, and as usual, overrated its team and staff.
We're in the midst of a rebuild, it'll hurt and suck for us. Growing pains for the young and inexperienced players.

The last few games have been watchable and even competitive. I'll give them that but in the mix is dead
the season is already a slow burning tire fire, litmus test for me is what are KH & JG are going to do,sit on their hands and have the fans suffer threw another painfully bad coach ? my fear is just that because they've painted themselves in a corner by first of all hiring a completely green coach and then letting him hire green associates,if your in charge of something THEN TAKE CHARGE !!! what the hell did they expect !! Did they actually think Msl was going to all of a sudden change the basic coaching winning formula that has been in place forever ? there has to be a balance between thinking out of the box and going with what has worked more often than not ! i have seen enough of MSL to know that winning a few games here and there doesn't fix the bigger "broken" picture, they are back to playing bi-polar hockey, sorry but i have seen this movie way to many times.

Well at least they started the year tanking as opposed to starting three months in like the last few years.
Oh I'm totally expecting that they will still have their late December/early January collapse. It's been happening for like a decade now.

Habs didn't seem to breakdown as much as they normally do defensively, but still did more than you'd hope and it ended in the net quite often

Team is improving slightly, but I was gone to bed like 5 minutes into the 3rd, so they may have really sucked for the last 15 minutes

Last night G was the weak link not D missing assignments (except Hutson getting outmuscled) - 2-3 of NJD goals should’ve been stopped by solid NHL caliber G
