That pass by Hutson was the most dangerous play he could make, put a tired Matheson in a bad spot.

Matheson isn't great, sure, but he's far from the only problem on this team. And far from the biggest one.

I used to defend Matheson but he’s been utterly horrid this year.

Really small line-up with the extra man. All of Suzuki, Caufield, Gallagher, Newhook & Hutson were out.

I knew there was too much time left on the clock for Matheson to blow it. I was just waiting. If he handles the puck too much it's just a matter of time that he makes a big error.

We should have had Slafkovsky out on wing with Hutson at the top of the box. How is Hutson in the one timer position? I mean I love Hutson, but even Xhekaj is a better choice for that.

The team at least played hard and didn't give up at 2-0.

Refs sucked hard.

How do we get them to get out of their funks of being awful every other night?? These guys are supposed to be part of the long term solution to win a cup. Looks like the opposite now.

Yeah, I thought the 2nd line had their moments in the 1st, last game too. Maybe they should try splitting Suzuki and Caufield like they did last year for a couple of games. I remember Caufield-Dvorak-Slaf for a couple of games before Slaf got on the first line, they did alright.
