All MSL needs to do is to get the team barely to crawl through this season not looking like clowns. That’s all!! If he does, he’ll get Demidov which will guarantee him another three years of coaching. Rottenberg litterally is getting Moo Deng the baby hippo to decide how to play Demidov and it still works. Wake-up MSL!

I have the feeling that even if Montreal would start the game 1-0 as handicap(they start the game with a free goal). They would still lose. They aren’t able to get the advantage.

Goaltending is reverting to the mean, and Monahan was much more important to the team than most gave him credit for. Amongst other things.
I kept saying we had a worse team on paper this season than last, and people laughed.

They aren't laughing now at this team.

Their D zone coverage is way worse than last year, by far. Price would get roasted behind this lineup.
True.

Part of it is adding Hutson and overplaying him straight out of college. The offense he brings is great, but defensively he's a sketch artist at best. A younger Matheson, who has the potential to straighten himself.

The top line doesn't even have a single ppg player on it and you expect them to produce every single night? And this is in a high scoring league btw where every team poops ppg players like its nothing. Expectations are what you make them. Suzuki and Caufield are great players but they aren't franchise altering talent like guys you tank for. Trust the rebuild

We didn't know Dach was going to come back this bad. Also didn't know Laine wouldn't play before december. Also didn't know Xhekaj would suck worse than last year defensively.

only from a handful, most argue that he’s legit stud who just plays a little too many minutes. My issue with him is constant bumbles and mistakes which outweigh his sexy silky smooth skating imo.
Only from a handful? It’s like 3 pages of back to back posts crapping on him after every mistake he makes. I don’t know why MSL is so stubborn by not swapping him with Hutson as the QB.

Seeing the same type of goals against all year on repeat, and they lead the league in high danger shots against, if they would just protect the home plate area 50% - 75% better they’d probably be in the “…”

Even with Dach 'the way he was before injury' we were still worse on paper.

I’d trade Matheson just to develop Guhle on his natural side. Let alone the rest.

Yeah, it should be Hutson, Guhle, Xhekaj. Go with Barron, Savard & Struble, or pick up another RD in the trade with Matheson.

Guhle struggled a couple times trying to make a backhand turn around the corner boards. He would be much better on his natural side.
