Impressed:
- Gallagher
- Galchenyuk
- Bourque
- Subban
- White
- Prust
- Halpern
Neutral:
- Price (had some good and bad moments, lost us Game 1, stole us Game 2, but will need to be good more consistently when the team is ready to make a bigger push)
- Plekanec (played fine, was steady, would be nice to see a bit of fire out of him at times, but you also can't really fault him for anything)
- Pacioretty (guy was kinda useless, but playing with a separated shoulder sucks, especially for someone that is supposed to use his size to leverage scoring opportunitites)
- Gionta (getting a lot of hate, but did what he could with one functional arm)
- Eller (if he had played more, I feel he would have been bumped up one category, really like what he showed this season)
- Tinordi (he had some rough moments, but lets remember that not all rookies can step in with <10 games NHL experience and excel in the playoffs like Subban)
- Markov (almost disappointed, but can't bump him down after seeing him play a full season with no injuries, hopefully a regular off-season will bring us more of the Markov we saw in Jan/Feb)
- Armstrong (played his role just fine)
- Budaj (tough to come in under those circumstances, miss a floater goal in OT, then be exposed to whatever Game 5 was, glad we have a solid backup signed for another few years)
Disappointed:
- Diaz/Gorges/Bouilion (these three vets needed to contribute more on the back end, especially with a rookie like Tinordi in the top 6, while I'm a bit skeptical of Diaz for the longterm, I still really like Gorges and Bouillion is fine for another year)
- Desharnais (I think he's a solid player, but he really showed nothing against Ottawa aside from a few decent plays here and there, which sucks because after Game 1 we lost a lot of our offense and he is specifically the guy that needed to step up, but instead he got even more invisible... not opposed to trading him if Galchenyuk takes it up a notch next year)
- Ryder (didn't seem to care that much, he's always a treat when he's scoring goals, but this is the Ryder I remember from his last year here that no one really missed, don't think he'll be re-signed)
- Moen (doesn't need to be a star, but would be nice if he was playing more like White/Prust, or at least like Armstrong... I hope he's not just mailing it in at this point in his career with 3 more years on his contract)
