IMO Conacher is nothing impressive. Got an amazing start of a season and has been cold since then. He was expendable.

lol, rubbish. The guy has 9-15-24 in his first season in the NHL. His start was better. But he's far from being cold. Don't forget, he's playing in TB, who hasn't been so great...

Now, you put this kid in the Sens lineup. A team that has proven to have the staff and team capable of maximizing players abilities. And you'll get a better player out of Conacher.

Only thing we can truly say is he's unproven to be able to keep this up every season. But he definitely has talent.

Bishop on the other hand, only seems good because of his size.

Things finally starting to get exciting. I really don't see the Bishop/Conacher trade as lopsided as some do. Maybe it's because I'm a huge fan of Bishop.

Compare it to Halak - Eller. Conacher is more valuable than Eller was at that point and Halak had just finished Halaking the Caps and Pens.

Twelve minutes left to get a gritty depth winger, c'mon MB I like Blunden but seriously . . .

we're 2nd in the east and first in our divison, what's so disappointing?

Both this, and last, year are poor representations of our team. We're not nearly as bad (last year) or as good (this year). Our small forwards are going to get smacked around in the playoffs. So what's disappointing.... looking forward to your posts in a couple of months.

Hey, hey... we got that really nice, good locker room guy from LA. Stop being such a Debbie Downer.

They lose Gaborik for Brassard up front and add Moore as a defense prospect.

Dorsett is out for the year.

Gabby isn't doing anything for them this year and it helps shed salary.

Plus I don't even really like Gabby, but hope he helps the C-Bus make the playoffs.

I still think it's a solid deal for the Rangers.

Apparently you can't call them the rags for some ****ed up reason.

lol people don't understand CBJ is DESPERATE to win. Good for them if Gaborik pans out and performs and produces on the score-sheet. Still reeks of desperation, and happy MTL is staying cool. Trade-deadline is there for desperate teams and teams who have spare assets to overpay. MTL has neither.

whether he succeeds or fails, I don't think they gave up much. they have a ton going their way, in the near future and were clearly moving into another direction. they have prospects, a young team (for the most part) and a ton of picks. they're in good shape.

Dorsett will be back for playoffs.

I don't want to face them in round 1. Clowe, Brassard, Dorsett and Staal will be back.

And Johan Larsson has first line potential, Matt Hackett has starting goalie potential. Buffalo ahd no need for Pominville right now and their rebuilding plan will like take a couple of years. Great deal for Buffalo.

Johan Larsson is the equivalent of Leblanc for us...
And Hackett is nothing really to lose sleep about, I hope they get something else.

I'm not watching RDS but are they going ballistic because the Habs didn't get Pomnville ? Because they hammered on that for the last 2 days or so almost non stop. They must be pretty depressed

Brassard has a bad contract too. Underachiever.

A good chunk of Conacher's points came when he was playing alongside two of the league's best players. He might do well alongside Spezza next year - but I don't expect him to do much more this year without proper support. He's not a game breaker.
