Gallagher + 1st FOR E.Kane???????
(are you ****ing kidding me!!!???).

Should be E.Kane +1st since E.Kane could be a major risk.
(dressing room, on ice, with coach, players,etc....yes I have no proof, but...speculating).

Stop being a homer for a minute and realize that this is, indeed, just speculations. There are speculations about Subban being a locker room cancer. You believe those?

Speculations...that goes without saying, but still speculative trade proposals or not...pretty bad.

I'm mocking these proposals even though they're obviously speculations!! Speculation or not...homer or not...imo those proposals are ridiculous!!
Cheer up!! (don't take everything so seriously! we're just having fun out here!).

gio is gone, was over the hill, could never hit the net.
time for a new chapter

eck's big SJ thoughts dead.
Actually Gionta hit the net often...stomach/belly button area of the goalie each time....he was the master of SOG!! (but not goals scored or passes).

He was a VERY overpaid 3rd line player the last 2 seasons but the coach insisted on playing him on the 1st or 2nd lines...idiotic.

Rumor has it that Toronto and Pittsburgh were discussing a Lupul for Letang....

If there is any truth to the habs also asking about Letang...could be that they would want Patches...which MB wouldn't trade because of the small cap hit for the amount he produces (Patches)...

Maybe MB inquired about Lupul so that he could flip him for Letang....

Anyways, just a thought...

But only way I see MB going after Letang is if Subban wants more than 7.5-8 and isn't willing to give him more than 12% of the team cap hit...in which he would than trade Subban (for maybe Hall +) after acquiring Letang...

I don't hate Kane but we already have promising top 6 wingers, we should be gunning for an elite 1C instead. Chucky could be elite in a few years, but he's also very reliable as a LW now...

The step-back approach is just the best course now unless MB gets something on his plate he can't refuse.

You're assuming MB went guns a' blazing for Lupul.

There would of been nothing wrong with taking on Lupul at a reduced cost. For all we know it could of been a 30 second convo.

Sure, you're right. I don't understand why Friedman would be including this in his noticeable rumors (or thoughts) then. For just small talk, it would be a little bit sensationalist to bring it up no?

Maybe that's where I'm off-course.

Because it's interesting, and unlike many other so called analyst out there, Friedman is genuine and has things to talk about.

Again, you're confused. You're initial reaction implied more than just small talk.

**** no, Wisniewski

Worst dman from the last playoffs by far.

I didn't watch CLB's playoffs, he was that bad ? Was he DD bad ? Cause that was the main idea behind.

Just a proposal out of nowhere, of course, the person I was replying to brought the fact that maybe we should try to get the elusive 1C we've been lacking for years now, and Johansen could fit the bill, at his age, size and production (he's still a risk though, but only 22... ).

I included DD cause we'd need to make place for Johansen and be sure that he plays with Pacioretty, and while DD doesn't have a lot of value, IMO CLB will need a productive center back, and I just thought we'd need a D back. Now, DD produces in the regular season, akin to Wiz, and both seem to struggle come playoffs time.

Though, I also edited the proposal, I added Jack Johnson as a probability, he was their best D come playoffs time, although he's a leftie...

Setoguchi is terrible and very lazy, rather give Andrighetto or even Thomas a shot before Setoguchi.

Really isn't much left on the UFA market for forwards, I wouldn't mind a guy like Ryan Jones for under $1 million to be the 13th/14th forward and fill in when Prust gets hurt.

I like the idea of Jones but if that's the case why wouldn't we have kept white? I wouldn't mind somebody a bit bigger to take on heavyweights from time to time. Of course this person would have to know how to play hockey as well. But like you said its slim pickings.

I wouldn't even trade Bourque for Wisnewski 1 for 1. You don't trade Gorges for scraps then turn around and acquire worst on a worst contract that's just more than disrespectful. Specially for Subban, you don't need to add anything if you're going to trade Subban. The team better get some real high quality prospects, or a bunch of customers won't be coming back. JJ just doesn't cut it.

Johansen+Johnson

Centre Depth of
Johanseen
Galchenyuk
Plekanec

I wish we just kept White as well. I understand not wanting him as a full time 4th liner, but he could've still been signed for very cheap after not being qualified.. also its a bonus that he can play centre and right wing as well.

Who would you get rid of to make room for him? I don't think I would have waived Moen to keep White no. There was simply no room left after they got Malhotra.

Also, whether there's room for Moen right now is still up in the air until camp.

Yeah, perhaps, maybe I overestimated Wiz, I still remember what he did when he was here, but he's been hurt often since then, last year he was mostly healthy and produced though.

Still, you didn't mention Johansen once, and he's the main piece coming back. A 22yo, 6'3, RD speedy center who's coming from a 33 goals, 63pts season ? That's a very, very good prospect coming back if you ask me. I just tried to balance things out with DD and a D from them. Cause add Johansen and our forward corp is suddenly way more dangerous, but substract Subban, and it's our D corp that becomes pretty bad. DD doesn't hold much value, but enough to get an overpaid, albeit top 4 D. JJ would cut it, IMO.

Why balance things out? Subban is a Norris winner. Columbus needs to add to Johansen big times. If they don't, then lets just go after better. I've seen someone throw RNH + Nurse + 1st on the main board. That's the kind of return I would need to see coming back, otherwise I would forget about trading PK altogether.

Just sign him already! :(

Well, honestly, I definitely prefer Subban playing for us, that's for sure.

Really hope they don't go into arbitration...
