The playoff, Leafs and Bruins boards are SO angry.:laugh::laugh:

Too bad for them . I am not a Montreal fan but they have some classy players who I would love to see win a cup or 2 . Always liked Price . I also have always liked Weber .

The best part is all us fans of teams in the North had to read how weak we were all year long . The Avs or Vegas would crush anyone from the North . Good times .

Great run by Montreal so far .
Go win the cup now !

Nice that younger Habs fans can finally get the feel of a Stanley Cup final...first in 28 years!

Getting to see the reactions from our younger fans. I couldn't be happier for them, this is something special. Something they'll hopefully remember for the rest of their lives. Seeing the look in my daughters eyes, as she came running at me from across the room yelling "We won Dad...we won!" You can't put a price on that. I have tears in my eyes just reliving that. :)

I also have a lump on the back of my head. She hit the chair I was sitting in so hard. It flipped over, and I landed on my head lol So worth it!

What if the figs didn't really suck. Maybe we just made them our b*tches and forced them to suck. Remember we beat them in 7. Vegas only took us to 6 games.

The Leafs didn't suck indeed. They had a good team and a good game plan that they executed well.

With maybe one Edmundson type defensemen or a better goalie they would have exploded us.

We were literally lucky to get past them. If DD didn't get CC and KK in the line up we would have lost (obviously). At the same time, the habs stuck to it and despite being lucky, they deserve full credits for besting such a strong team.

It took me this long to post because I've literally spent all last night and today reading each page of this thread, looking at twitter, instagram, highlights, reading articles, everything... I still can't believe this is real.

As a young fan, I haven't experienced this. I was 1 when they won the cup in 93, but I've been a diehard since Koivu came back from cancer and the playoff run that followed.

We've seen heartbreaks. We've heard about the history and the winning, and how "anything but the cup isn't good enough" because fans were so used to it. We've seen ceremonies and jersey retirements and deaths of legends that will be immortalized forever. But we've never seen this.

This is amazing. We're going to the cup finals. I have to type it out because it's no longer a pipe dream.

Now go get it, boys. Bring it home.

Pffft nobody beats Dick Irvin Jr.

Tell it to @Habs Icing

I loved Dick Irvin Jr. and Ron Reusch too.

I’d say Irvin, Gallivan and Foster Hewitt. On the French side, loved those slick RadCan guys — so polished and professional with their powder blue matching jackets, lol.

Lecavalier was the ultimate, principled pro — he’d refuse to go into the players’s dressing room out of respect — he only entered it when it was wide open after a SC win. Pierre Houde comes from the same RadCan school — witty and all class.

So I passed out before OT started. I had my screaming moments around shortly after 1 am and went to bed, somehow. Man what a ride.

I read every single page of this PGT. Feels amazing.

I wish we get Tampa. Come on you cheatin' mother****as we went through hell, the West and back -- now we're here. Your Atlantic neighbor represents the North, and the West. A much different roster than the last time they actually matched up. And it's a hungry roster.

Re-re-re-post. This time it's for ****ing real.

Hard to believe Irvin has been retired 21 years already but he is still kicking at age 89!!

Had mono stuck in bed as a teen in 86, until final game, front & center for 89 loss and 93 win- but gotta admit 28-years feels like an eternity

I was a teen in 86, watching in my parents basement. For 89, I was in Montreal at a bar called Thursday's. The loss, and the hangover later were quite painful. For 93, I was back in Montreal. I was able to go to one game. Unfortunately it wasn't the clincher. Besides getting married, and the birth of my kid. It's probably the best experience of my life. Never in my mind did I ever think I'd have to wait this long to experience this again.
