With an anglophone coach and only one local player, the Habs clinched the Finals on the day of the St-Jean Baptiste....and no one gives a flying f*** about it.

Winning is the best remedy
Good point. I think the same thing goes for this board. When the Habs are winning everyone is happy and there are virtually no complaints about some player not scoring or some other player being overpaid. Does anyone really care this morning that Danault has not scored a goal in forever or that Chiarot is not a PMD or that Price makes over $10 million a year?

After each of the big wins I have enjoyed reading through these post game threads from the very first posts (especially after an overtime winner!) to the next day. It is great to see how people of so many ages and places and walks of life express how happy they are in different ways and different words. Social media at its best!

Life is great in Habs world right now! :)

Isles fan coming in peace and reaching across the aisle to congratulate the Habs and their fans.

Amazing story and your team and fans deserve it. I'll be a nervous wreck all day waiting for my own game 7 tonight. I hope Isles can match the Canadiens' hunger tonight.

Having lived in the North Country of NY in the late 70s I totally understand and respect the Canadiens, the glorious history of the franchise, and the cultural significance of the Habs in Quebec..

I hope our 2 Franchises that have seen both hard times in recent decades meet in the finals.

Enjoy it !!!!

Best of luck tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if the Habs Empire is cheering you on as well.

I didn't even realize he scored, I didn't clue in until I saw Gally immediately pick up the puck

Same. Initially, I expected Gally and Danault to mess the play up so I wasn't really zero'd in. Then Lehks snapped the puck, which I thought missed the net.

Next thing I know, everyone is celebrating and there was like a 1-2 second delay before I realized and jumped off the couch. Even then, I was just happy but then a few seconds later, I realized, "YO! That's a series win!"

Before the Chara hit he always drove the net. That nasty hit changed him and make him become Casperretty.:help:
Oh please this narrative needs to end. That hit was so early in his career, the sample size is way too small to say what kind of player he was. He only had 20 NHL goals before the hit, and over 300 goals since.

Well to be honest they are playing so well right now that you cannot say much to shit on them about.

I mean the biggest gripe up to overtime last night was Gally's line wasn't scoring. They weren't allowing many goals either. Like we do not have a bad line and the bad misplays (Stall) are very infrequent. Shit, stall f***s up, then turns around and burys a nice goal. Price lets in a softie but stood on his head 98% of the time. Kiki blows a tire going onto the boards for a battle, turns s around and gives an amazing screen on Webers goal. Our big D is playing well most of the time and Carey bails them out.

Its just a well oiled machine right now. A bunch of odd parts that somehow fit together perfectly.

Like the best critism I can come up with right now is the lack of production from Gallys line, yet we don't need it because we got the other lines scoring. Our f***ing PK at 30/30 since game 5 or whatever? Amazing

What can you honestly say at this point?!?! Nothing and it feels great.
