Post-Game Talk: Habs lose to the Wild. Uneventful at best.

Nah. I don't agree with this at all. I'm totally cool with those kinds of trades. They won't always work out but that doesn't mean you stop trying. Glad we've got Dach.
I still think Dach is a bust. Like the team that had a "hot streak", Dach had a handful of good games, when he should be consistent. But it seems whenever he gets any physical contact, his skill level drops back 75%.

He really is Mike Hoffman deluxe.

Can't skate, can't do anything good on the ice other than shooting the puck on the PP.
...we knew this...people have to stop thinking we got Winnipeg Laine...he's been exactly as advertised for years now; he can snipe and move like a cement truck...that's it...

Alex Newhook is not a top 6 player at all.
We all already knew that. Newhook is a poor's man Christopher Higgins and Higgins was a 3rd liner disguised as a 2nd liner with stone hands. That makes Newhook a 4th liner at best in an average team. KH got fleeced. Newhook should be moved asap before he loses all his value... if there's any value left that is...

The team need to tank and get ride of the dead weight. Next year is when we should be in the mix. And please, get some players with snarl.

The problem now is it's going to be hard to find new objectives to play for.
.500 is going to be a hard chore with this D. and just forget the GF/GA it's going in the shitter.
Back to hoping for personal bests. It easy to see the difference between these two teams.
They scored three goals unhindered and unpressed. We could not get shots through or shots away without paying some kind of price.
The motivation to watch them will be more affected than their motivation to play the game.

Games like the last 2 certainly affected my motivation to watch the next game anyway.

He could have seconded Price.

His play steadily improved and then he finally saw some results. It wasn't a handful of games.

And I don't know what you're watching if you think he's not a physical player.

Good teams don't have that type of player on their 4th line.

IMO he's Europe-bound.

Didn't watch this one. The whole Guhle thing threw me off & I didn't want to watch Matheson-Carrier be the "top" pairing for Montreal.

Carrier is good, but he's not that good. He's a good #4 and would make the team great as a #5. As a #2? Well, we saw that in Nashville. It didn't work so well.

What a bummer losing Guhle is. Damn.

Anyways, this is still a rebuilding team. During our charge it wasn't the veterans carrying us over the top.

It was Hutson going PPG. Guhle shutting down top guys. Suzuki line dominating. Dach coming alive and looking good. Heineman hitting, scoring & giving our 4th line energy and the team depth.

If anything, it's the veterans dragging the team down. Dvorak & Gallagher provide f*** all. I can't wait till Dvo is off this f***ing team.

Evans & Armia are decent 4th line/pkers, but that's it. No over pay.

Tonight, NYI's will beat Philadelphia and jump 3 teams, including Montreal, into 11th place. We're dropping one more spot.

Standings haven't caught up yet, but we're done.
