Post-Game Talk: Habs lose to the Wild. Uneventful at best.

These loses gonna hurt when it's all set and done. The fairy dust seems to have been used up all the way to the last speck. These last 5 games before the break will probably make or break the season.

Unless they completely face plant for the rest of the year, I liked what they've shown these past few months. It was a very fun run and a good glimpse of what this team can become in the future.

I know some of y'all will bring back the tank talk, but this year was never about tanking. It was about showing progress and the boys did that. Let's see if they can finish the second half of the year on a positive note. GHG!

I very like Patrik Laine but I think he should be healthy-scratch. The fact that he has problems with his skating and shot is understandable. But a few primitive passes, especially the one that led to Minnesota's third goal, deserve nothing less. Patrik played horribly, destroyed his line. One stands like Lot's wife on the PP, waiting for the pass instead of moving, even though he can see his opponent is watching out for him. Let MSL do something about him.
And if he does play, let him play under 10 minutes on the 4th line without PP. If he doesn't like it, there's a waiver.

Winning? No

Effort would be nice

Intensity?

A hit maybe?

yeah but this has been our style of play all year until that cute little winning streak, we are playing like we always were when we were calling for MSL's head etc. It was never going to last, this team has so many flaws, hidden by a brief run lol.

We blow

He really is Mike Hoffman deluxe.

Can't skate, can't do anything good on the ice other than shooting the puck on the PP.

The problem now is it's going to be hard to find new objectives to play for.
.500 is going to be a hard chore with this D. and just forget the GF/GA it's going in the shitter.
Back to hoping for personal bests. It easy to see the difference between these two teams.
They scored three goals unhindered and unpressed. We could not get shots through or shots away without paying some kind of price.
