They've got a huge revamp to do there if they want the farm playing the same brand of hockey as the Big Boys.
Ottawa will fire their fatass gum muncher and hire Claude Julien. Written in the stars! Lolol They have no goalie either, doesn’t help. But I see them being better than us for sure.
Talbot is back, he came in in relief tonight and shut there door.

Time to trade Mon Tombeau. Ur too God, bro.
Some goalies have that anomaly season where they play way above their skill level sometimes and so far, it sure looks like Monty (and to a certain extent Allen) chose a key, franchise defining tank year to have his.

Good for him, absolutely terrible for us.

He’ll come back down to earth. He’s only played 4 games. Even a washed Niemi was able to put together elite statistical numbers over a small stretch with us behind a bad team.

I will say that Pitlick had some bad calls against him but he doesn’t seem to be reading the ice well this year. He’s a step behind or out of the play most of the time.
He's the typical not good enough for a top six and quite useless on a bottom 6.

Only watched the third but that was fun. Really like the first line. I think Monahan needs to be with Slaf and Anderson though.
Nice useless loser point. And Montembeault looking like a Vezina candidate is starting to annoy the **** out of me. He couldn't stop a beach ball last year but now he looks good of course, it's just stupid.

Dikembe actually had a stretch last year where he looked really good. It's early. Things will normalize eventually.

Just finished watching the game... couldn't watch live. Overall, not a terrible game but man... Habs need at least half a dozen forwards. Pitlick, Gallagher, Dvorak, Armia, Drou, Dach (despite scoring a goal my grandmother would have scored)... Just not cutting it.

There are few things I hate more than NHL refs...I am sure it was discussed here to death but how Wheeler's goal was not refused is beyond anything I've witnessed in that joke of a league in a while.

Xhekaj I thought played with even more swagger being paired with Eddy. A couple of mistakes but so solid overall. For the first time I thought Savard was a better dman than Guhle. But then again... I think they should play Savard as a forward. He is slick and strong and got them moves.

Oh well... a useless point Habs didn't need.

Maybe saturday I can finally test drive my new center channel speaker on a live game.

i was a big advocate to see Slaf in the AHL. Not anymore. It's a shit show down there. There's just no way I want Slaf near Houle. That AHL team is a bad team to see play, boring, not as talented as we thought they were AND badly coached.

Keep Slaf here.
Rush [Habs Top Prospect] to the NHL because the AHL team is too chaotically bad

Hmm I thought HuGo were meant to change things?

Slaf on pace for 20 points.

It's not about points mate! One day you'll start actually watching games and maybe you'll get the point!
To be fair, sometimes points don‘t tell you the whole story, especially for rookies, but given the abundance of forwards and the fact that he is playing 8 minutes a night, I am not sure AHL would not be better.

I don‘t get why some people see it as an insult to be sent to the AHL…

Probably because the AHL team is not looking great whatsoever.

It's filled with grinders and not a lot of skill.

Evans would be the first center on that team without a doubt.

My conceit since even before the draft was that Slaf hasn't shown he has the ability to produce points consistently and reliably. Being on pace for the lowest total of a 1OA-NHL-Rookie-season in years is therefore quite relevant.

If he starts putting big points up later in the season I'll eat a heaping basket of crow; but until then, I think it's fair to point out the obvious: his biggest issue (imo) has not been improving and it doesn't seem like it will with meagre minutes on a garbage team.

He was drafted for his tools and the projection.

We'll have to wait and see if he'll manage to reach those projections.

The Habs should have a contingency plan in case they feel Slaf isn't coming along. Just for illustration, Filip Mesar is 2ppg in the OHL and Owen Beck 1.4ppg.

If the Habs do think he's progressing exactly as they want, then fine okay -- let's see at the end of the season if he will finish with 30 points which was Lafreniere's PPG in his rookie season. Many here have a lot of criticism of Laf's career trajectory, will they change their tune with Slaf?
