Kovacevic's goal wakes up the Bolts, Monty's screw up deflates the Habs. You knew we weren't coming back after that.

That Kovacevic goal was the killer. The Bolts woke up from their hibernation after that one and hit a gear that the Habs simply don’t have.

It’s priceless that a Kucherov can continuously put up these numbers (now at 61 pts in 37), but the focus of TSN/Sportsnet panels will always be that other guy with a couple more goals and 20 fewer points

This is pretty much what we can expect this year to be. Some growth in the youngsters game. A no quit mentality, but in the end, not good enough to hang with the good teams.

The no quit mentality is the key element here. And we will get pretty good draft picks for a little while longer.

It was bad, but the Bolts were buzzing immediately following the Kovacevic goal, scored one themselves and were coming on… Montembeault can’t help what he is, (an average goalie that sometimes plays great and often does not), and let in a stinker. He’s done that more often than I care to think about, in fact I was calling him “Red Light” for a long time. There’s a reason he was put on waivers.
