Maybe they couldn't find any... stars to unload on :)

I mean what Laine said may all be true, but you just have to think before you run your mouth and sometimes just not say things. What was the upside of saying what he said? Imagine if Monahan came out and said the reason he didn't re-sign (I read earlier that Hughes made him an offer to come back) is because Habs have a losing culture. This place would go ape shit... and we all love Moneyhands. And he is a lot smarter than to say something like that.
Speaking the truth hurts at times...................the locker rooms are full of egos. Which is why hockey players usually take the quiet route.

There are maybe 2-3 NHL starters who can, the era of the workhorse G is passée
Agree somewhat...........I think there is more than 2-3 but the point stays true, he can't it shows, and hopefully right after the break they do something about it................it would seem the 1A and 1B for many teams is a thing now.
Eventually that doesn't work either because both want to be paid, ala Sway/Ullmark but let's hope Primo is on waivers and a trade is made.............................or the AHL guys get a shot.

I disagree. The whole 'they reacted because it's true' is often rubbish. People react or don't react for different reasons. His Habs example doesn't prove anything either. Different individuals, different reactions. Some people want to defend themselves against BS, while others just let it slide. 'You reacted because it's true' is just a silly tired myth. Might be true in some cases, while false for others.
People really need to stop with CJB "reacted" anyway, since most of them didn't even touch Laine, and players getting their first game against their old team usually get hits by their former teammates as hello. Habs have done it and there was no comments to make them do it. Booing returning players is a classic too.

Werenski was the most offended by the comments to the media and he wasn't credited for any hits on Laine once despite being the D with the most icetime with him.

The game wasn't even physical. 18 hits for CJB, 15 for the Habs. 5 penalties total. There was more hits and penalties from opposite teams in each of the 3 games last week.

The biggest thing I got out of the whole thing is that people (fans and media) can't stand trash talking from competitive people in a sport anymore.

They have enough of it listening to our esteemed political leaders.

As I mentioned earlier, if Caufield and Dach had scored, there would have been no discussion. Instead, there is a thread on the cemetery that is the main board where every hab hater in the world gets a chance to circle jerk and spew garbage.

In 2-3 days they will move on to the next topic and no one will care about Laine or the Habs or Bluejackets.

Van fans can’t believe their luck. Finally a pause on the Miller-Petersson firing squad.

Interesting take.

This is a Hab fan trying to justify the nonsense junk take. Laine made a bullshit comment and got called out. Ironic he got tired of losing and ok’d a trade to the Habs, lol.

I like Liane but if you want to compare Liane history to Werenski’s, PL doesn’t hold up.
