That's what happens when you overload your 2 best players....they wear down.
It’s also that teams have adjusted to them. They don’t seem to have an anwser for the moment.

They will pick it up when they get back home with last line change.

Possibly but putting slow as F Armia and Dvorak together seems like a bad pair

Anderson who is already terrible defensively

Add in a strategy that allows the point man, both wingers and bumper guy shoot at will cause you play so low seems just bad tactics
I think that the willingness to block shots on the pk has dropped considerably now that our team went from a 1 line team to a no line team.

Nope. I prefer the Habs to get as low as possible, which ensures a great pick no matter the lottery.

And for those thinking we can't catch up to the super tankers, we've already cut that lead by almost 1/3 in the last 3-4 weeks. Give it another month and we might be right there in the tank of things.

Jan schedule will ensure that they catch up.

The next game we will see the same 5 forwards on the PP.

We will see a bunch of posters blaming the 18 year old.

Habs have an inferior group of forwards and 5 rookie D. What are we expecting?
We thought Caufield would score 40 goals, hell he might not score 40 points.
The tank is on.

The Suzuki line -9

The top pairing D -6
I don't see many posters blaming Slaf for much this season other than for not keeping his head up and putting himself in vulnerable positions and getting hammered by huge hits.

What I do see however is posters saying Slaf shouldn't be in the NHL right now and needs to be sent down to get more minutes and they may have an argument on that point.

Honestly there was no bad result except an ot game tonight.
CBJ is on a 6 loss streak though. It will be tough to finish lower than them.

From Vet to rookies no exceptions it was bad
Lines are a blender zero chemistry
Suzuki is getting paid too much to not figure it out.
Rookies with the exception of X and Guhle are rookies and sinking as the games go on.
Dach is a ghost
How much is a ticket again to a Habs game?
About 250$... no wait , that's for just a small fry.

Why the Habs PP is always horrible ? Will they fix that eventually ? the team is 31st overall on the PP since the 2012-13 season (32nd is the Kraken so that doesnt count). It's always bad ffs

Watch any good team on the PK and watch our's.
They go aggressively after the puck and is always in movement. We stand there like potatoes barely moving.
Same thing goes for the PP.

It's like world class vs pee-wee. Who ever is in charge of our special teams really needs to get the boot.

From strategies to personal employed, that is a fire-able offense.

Not blaming the kid at all.
He was not my choice but I want him to succeed.
He's not as bad as most of our vets but he's not really progressing either.
I think he should play in the AHL to get more ice time and points.

He wasn't my 1st choice either but he is the player the Habs chose 1st OA so like you I really want to see this guy succeed and become a top line player.

Maybe it's how the Habs handled KK recently causing some concerns and doubts for some here that the same may happen with Slaf's development. :dunno:

That's a smallish team in Laval. If they do eventually send Slaf down, add a Brandon Baddock or similar facsimile to play on his line. He's going to need it.

We joke around about Burrows but we also saw that Marty had taken over PP duties as per an Athletic article from a few weeks ago.

If Marty, who is supposed to be a PP specialist, can't get it going, then we must also consider the fact that he doesn't have the personnel to pull it off. But, eventually we will. Hard to watch right now, for sure.

Pro tip, skip the annual Florida games around Christmas.

It's always low effort garbage regardless of the team quality.

This is completely a feeling backed up by zero facts but I want an opinion

I have a sense of no accountability on this team. I know they’re naturally bad but it almost feels like things are very lenient in Montreal and that worries me because bad habits could occur. I’m not saying we need another Therrien as much as I love his personality lol but I see guys making the same mistakes over and over as if it’s okay without consequence

Well that's 5 games down on this current 7 game road trip and they're still stuck on 3 points like I predicted.

And got absolutely demolished by Arizona and somehow won

Some folks question everything from IQ to not generating offense while playing with slugs.
No wonder this organization can't have nice things....the fan base goes out of its way to destroy young players.

Suzuki is painful to watch lately.
I’ve never really liked him unless he’s scoring.

He falls over to much, he tries a lot of low percentage plays. His arrogance is not confidence.

The team stinks and he’s having trouble. I hope he rebounds.
