The deadline was just yesterday. Calgary was the first game we played.

He needed to be perfect and got out-goalied. Again, not fair to him, he was awesome, but that's the team Kent Hughes needs to justify sitting on his ass all day yesterday.

Tough loss. Montreal had a terrible 1st period, but really picked it up in the 2nd half. We had chances particularly Caufield, but per usual we missed the net too much.

Like the rest of the team, Carrier struggled in 1st period, but really picked his game up. He had a great game.

Dobes had a great game. Nothing to blame him for here. He let in one goal.

We're a one line team still.

Beck was over matched in this kind of game at center, but he settled down when moved to wing. He got 11 minutes. Pezz less than 5.

I don't expect us to make the playoffs I think Ottawa & Columbus will get in, but the team is battling. Wolf saved their asses a few times.

On to Vancouver....

I'M not for conspiracy theory...but somebody did say something like that...Hughes going with what the group wanted. And then telling them that we CLEARLY needed more. Hughes gets a high pick, the group also got what they wanted by playing together...everybody is happy....and Hughes makes the moves in the summer.

Based on what translated at the deadline, there is NO MORE waiting period. You have to improve that team THIS summer. Not next deadline.
