What a great video, a real must watch. Thank you!
Who do you think is a better coach - Rotenberg or Peter Laviolette?

They say that unofficial negotiations about SKA - Habs game have been going on behind closed doors for over a year. Take the info as you wish.

I know the Habs played a preseason game in Russia against a Russian team before. That was in the early 90s.

Although the political climate makes this hard to believe.

Take a wild guess

Because they want to be sure that this kid ain't suffering at the hands of a psycopath coach, who also happens to be the son of a Russian oligarch, Friend of despote Poots?
And doing all that in Poots territory?

What's wrong about caring for another human being?

The Habs just became the most unlikeable franchise in the NHL together with the Blue Jackets and the Capitals. Congrats

Have we all forgot about the Chicago Rapists/Blackhawks?

Plus, you're a fan of the goddamn Maple Leafs, you have absolutly no rights to judge anyone lol

This thread will no doubt be locked in short order, but I do want to point out meeting a Rotenberg is not meeting a random Russian coach. The senior Rotenbergs have been under sanctions since 2014 and were childhood friends of Putin. They are about as inner circle of the regime as it gets.

It's not appropriate, IMO, for an NHL team to send staff to meet with people of this ilk. This isn't me picking on the Habs either: I was critical in 2018, too, when my Leafs invited Pavel Rotenberg to their development camp. It just shouldn't happen.

Do you think Kent Hughes is there to give Them high fives and shit?

He's most likely there to be sure that a human being is treated correctly

Why are you promoting Russia, its teams and players in the year of our lord, 2024?
Because it’s the best hockey country with the best infrastructure in Europe

Says who ?
I guess it’s an honor to be in a company of teams that focus on hockey and not politics

It's his main occupation for the last 15 years or so so 2024 is no different.

I don’t know about all of you, but I enjoyed the video. Rotenberg seems like a better guy than people say.
Yes, this 7 minute PR video is the ultimate truth, I'm sold. Nevermind the treatment of Michkov, or Marchenko, or Morozov or any of that, this is the real shit.

Imagine if it had a national team that could back that up instead of relying on the other team's best players not to be there to win anything.
