Gorges has been average at best tonight, and same can be said of the last pre season game he played.

Is he back in last season's form? I hope not

Some quick notes:

Not liking Christian Thomas at all, too small, gets pushed around a lot, and tonight the play dies on his stick each and every time.

I hear ya! Why did they give up Kristo for this midget? Much like WS I did have a soft spot for the lad....I was at that draft in Ottawa when we picked Kristo, an old colleague of mine with McKeen's Rick Springhetti came up to me and asked me who I thought we would pick...I told him Kristo... I actually had the gall to call Bob Gainey over to the media "gate" and tell him that I commended Trevor for finally getting it right and drafting a red head (I happen to be a ginger).

Bob was not flummoxed at all for some reason, and had a witty retort that I can't for the life of me remember right now.

Yeah - I've been hyping Bournival, but Holland has had a very good game too. Nygren too, IMO.

Can't forget both Budaj and Tokarski either. Fantastic outings.

Holland is basically the poor man's Bournival IMO, and that's not really a bad thing at all. More of a playmaker than a scorer, slightly less physical but more creative. Still not sure if he will make it because he doesn't have any one outstanding skill, but he will definitely earn at least an NHL callup in the near future. He's already exceeded most expectations had for him, so who knows.

Nygren is already much better than he was in his first game. You can see why he progressed so much over the past few years.

In the defense of Collberg and Thomas...they are snipers, even if they aren't completely one dimensional, they still play a feast or famine style of game that is all about goals. That being said it's probably not good for Thomas that Collberg at least looks as comfortable as he does...but I think that could very well be because Collberg has high end talent.

And get Chuckie off the lacking list...

I agree with Holland having a great game could probably add Patches too but I don't think Chuckie has done much he hasn't been bad don't get me wrong i'm just expecting a lot I guess I really want to see him start taking over games and being on the puck more.

You don't see that word everyday. Too bad you can't remember, that would be an interesting story.
