Post-Game Talk: Habs good. Habs win.

Except we have video evidence that they projected he would be there, and he was, and they took him.

Tampa took Koekkoek over Vasy. They took Namestnikov over Kucherov.

I guess anything is technically luck whenever someone is picked at any spot other than 1OA. So we could just say every pick ever made outside of 1OA that worked out is luck.

In this particular instance. They made a projection and were right and were able to grab Mesar and Beck as well while still getting Hutson. They should be applauded not reprimanded.
No one is reprimanding them, but there is a difference between projecting a certain spot where Hutson should fall and then picking the likes of Mesar ahead of him.

Their internal rankings were flawed assuming Hutson’s performance holds up for the long term. Beck should not have been ranked ahead of Hutson either. So yes, they were lucky. And sometimes, better to be lucky than good.

Anyhow, they’re winning, why not enjoy that.

He tilts the ice.

His skills overcome his size. It’s a rare thing.

If the rest of our D is improved we will be in a nice spot.
Guhle's been an absolute stud lately

As for Hutson one of the thing that impresse me most is his motor, he's like a hummingbird

Good win, against top team in east. Out shot and out played them most the night. Game kept us on edge of our seats. Habs 9-2 in last 11. Sucks Detroit and Colombus on a heater also.

Anderson what can you say. Real tough guy, good penalty killer, scored the big goal. He's been injured a lot his career here, cut him down but he's back to his old self from '21 Cup run.

Slaf looked different tonight. Seen flashes of a first overall pick. He had good second half last year, he can do it again this year. Maybe even a big playoff run.

Dobes 3-0 to start his NHL career. Caufield with his 23rd of the season. Suzuki had a good game. Hoping Savard and Laine back in tonight against Dallas. Struble looked shaky and we need to get second line going.

Talk about a well oiled machine working on all cylinders. How they are playing now is how I’d hope they’d perform in a year or two but doing it now is just mind blowing. They could be tied or even be trailing in a game and you just can’t count them out.
